Place lay....Will do well to be within 5 lengths of the winner.

Prepared to eat humble pie if the 9 year old exceeds most folks expectations.

earlier in week when there was 12 runners i thort it was a good lay at 12 Excited
but, this horse is one of my all time fav's
nothing would give me more pleasure for Cons Hill to win today.
is it rated high enough to win?
when it won at southwell i said then Square Necker strictly on mebbe dubious form looked a 100 ish horse
obvious it wasnt buts its now rated 97..Cons Hill beat it 10L on snaff and bha rated Cons 101
will see today if bha has underestimated Cons.
at nearly 10 it wont be improving so what should it be rated?
todays race is poor, take Gethin out its average at best.

A long winded post from frico. But a loadaballoney.
Pride of Arras wins the races. Nice and simple and succinct from slick.

"this horse is one of my all time fav's nothing would give me more pleasure for Cons Hill to win today." "head says lay, heart says pi$$ in Excited"...well said,my thoughts too....certainly won't be laying him as that conflicts with the above sentiment. More to horse racing for some than just losing/winning money.Wink

People tanked up showing bare ankles and hair oil could plunge and bring down the price,it then becomes value for place laying….
By:

When: 05 Sep 26 12:05
.... Yep, must be Value in the lay with the weight of public money not representing true odds.

The type you are talking about are unlikely to have heard about CH Quixall never mind turn up to see him run, the price has already collapsed because of support form his "fans", no other reason than that and non runners. Will he shorten any more or drift because the oncourse books will want to get him? I hope you say you are laying him as that will give him at least the 10lb he needs to find on the ratings?

Notable Speech, Lochy. It was the 9/4f. I can’t believe you’re patting yourself on the back for that one a fortnight later! Winners of late must have been hard to come by!
