Sorry but i can’t take any race seriously which is run on AW,mid week stuff is ok for playing but it’s not for quality horses imo….apart from American racing.

I know fine well the good horses run on the AW…..just not my thing……admittedly one or two will slip through…

Fair enough form. I think a lot trainers like the AW. I think if there were more group races on the AW they would be very well supported

I think whippin and I were in the minority for CH to run on the flat, most arguing about him being too old or not in love with the game. Seems to have disproved the nay-sayers so far but NH states this is a race he cannot win but must run to qualify for Heritage Handicaps. It will be a watching brief with just a small ew with fingers crossed he runs well enough to carry on for the Autumn.

No mention of Banbridge making his flat debut today at the age of 10 nor horses winning at 13 this year and yet plenty want to see CH in a paddock despite being bred to race and not plod around for many years?

John Dunlop was a big critic of the AW WP….another well known respected judge on a popular Sunday night podcast would call for all tracks to be AW,including Newmarket….

If he does win on Saturday (I wouldn't put it past him) The Canadian International Stakes looks a good fit - 1M4F trip, long galloping straight run on good/softish going and the timing fits with it being run on 3rd October. Older European Horses have a good record in the race, remember that other Hill....Collier Hill(8yo)? And more recently Walton Street (7yo) Desert Encounter (7yo)

Nicky Henderson expects to have a much clearer idea of whether the Melbourne Cup dream can become a reality for Constitution Hill after Saturday’s William Hill September Stakes at Kempton.

The former superstar hurdler was among 101 initial entries for the Flemington showpiece released on Tuesday, and Henderson revealed he has had “various visitations” from the Victoria Racing Club team to set the wheels in motion ahead of a potential trip to Australia.

Six-time champion jockey Kieren Fallon has backed Constitution Hill to cause an upset in Saturday's William Hill September Stakes at Kempton, believing the jumps superstar is capable of showing "a lot better" than he has so far on the Flat.
The eight-time Grade 1-winning hurdler will make his third start on the Flat and faces his toughest test as he steps into Group 3 company for his return from a 164-day break following his last victory on the all-weather at Kempton.
The course-and-distance winner is best-priced 7-1 for the contest, in which he will face 9-4 favourite Gethin, who was last seen finishing fifth in the Coral-Eclipse, and dual Group 1 winner Bay City Roller, the second favourite after winning the Coronation Cup on his latest start.
Faced with such strong opposition, trainer Nicky Henderson has made no secret of his concerns about Constitution Hill maintaining his unbeaten record on the Flat, but Fallon is more confident.
“I think it’s interesting," said Fallon. "He is worth talking about. He was a superstar over jumps and he’s making inroads on the Flat. He gets the public interested.
“His speed figures will be a lot better than what he is showing at the moment, even if he hasn’t improved. He had plenty in hand when Ryan won on him at Kempton.
“All good horses have speed, whether they’re hurdlers or whatever, and he’s got plenty of speed and stamina.
“It’s going to be an interesting race. It’s a good race, but Constitution Hill has every chance, for sure. He’s a straightforward horse as well. There are no quirks to him."

Constitution Hill has had some illustrious partners on the Flat, having  been ridden by champion jockeys Ryan Moore and Oisin Murphy, and his latest rider is bidding to join that company. Billy Loughnane is chasing the title for the first time and has opened up a lead on reigning champion Murphy, with 113 winners to his rival's 99. 
Murphy, who rode Constitution Hill on his Flat debut, offered his thoughts on the partnership, saying: “Constitution Hill is a lovely horse and Billy is riding at the top of his game. He will enjoy riding him.
“It will be great to see him race against top horses and obviously his ideal conditions might be on slow turf over a little further.”

The jockeys’ championship concludes on British Champions Day at Ascot on October 17, and Fallon expects the battle between Loughnane and Murphy to go down to the wire.
He added: “Billy is great. He’s in a duel with Oisin, and Oisin is not going to go down without a fight. Anything could happen in the meantime. They’re both throwing everything at it. The big ones count and, deep down, it all counts. Nobody wants to lose."
Fallon rides work for Charlie Appleby and believes the trainer's Arabian Crown, who was beaten half a length in the Princess of Wales's Stakes when sent off at 18-1 last time, could go well. The five-year-old is a best-priced 14-1 for Saturday and is set to line up alongside 25-1 stablemate By The Book.
“It’s a tough race," added Fallon. "Charlie has two runners in there. I’m not sure if he will run them or not. I know he's probably not what they thought Arabian Crown was going to be, but he was one of the favourites for the Derby at one stage. He’s had a few setbacks but, in his own right, he’s not a bad horse and he would love it around there.
