Reported on the 31st August Herbie.
|
|
By:
Herbie-53', I cannot remember precisely but it was fairly recent. It was reported Minnie Hauk has had persistent trouble with corns in her feet during 2026 season. According to her trainer, the star filly dealt with "little problems with corns on her feet" which resulted in an underwhelming 4-yr old campaign and prevented her from a clean, uninterrupted run through her races.

So...after York then - I found that an easy race to dismiss and put a line through (formwise) as it was a horribly run affair.

Btw Impossible , BCR is not a female!!

Thanks Imp - that's something I recall Desert Orchid used to suffer
from regularly so I'd be hopeful it wouldn't be too much of a barrier for her to get over...it didn't stop him running to his max but I do think she'd definitely need a change in the weather. |

Couldn’t have her on my mind Herbie, that’s on form this year and before the jockey booking.
More terrible reporting from the post this morning, he’s their handicapper FFS! ![]() “A nightmare draw and Ryan Moore's preference for Benvenuto Cellini are not reasons to abandon Diamond Necklace in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, according to Racing Post handicapper Jonny Pearson. Pearson, speaking on the Racing Post's preview show In The Know, underlined his belief in the four-time Group 1 winner despite the fact she suffered her first defeat when upped to the Arc trip on her last start.” |

Is there a problem in Fabre's barn? See he has no runner in the Arc and only one on the entire card
tomorrow (the Legardere) |

He described Daryz as a 10f horse, Varindir however didn’t run in the PDJC ran over 12f on his second start. Daryz looked like a 12f horse getting whacked over the wrong trip at Ascot. His class allowed him to win over shorter before Ascot. Varindir was entered in the Chaudeny Which I’m not sure if anyone has noticed?, has 3 form lines that are in the Arc running the next day. Victoire Magique 11/2 3rd fav ws beat 9 1/2L by Rumoriste/Bright Light Jabracadabra 10/1 was beat 1 L 1/4 by Varandir The Fav (was odds on) Pierre Bonnard beat by Arc second Fav Maltese Cross 2L in receipt of 5lb ![]() - - - - Just back, hope you were on Herbie ![]() |

10 Jabracadabra
@ 8/1 Qatar Prix Chaudenay Won Each Way: 1/5 Odds, 3 Places |

By:
Kalpana ad Thundering On is 'evens' and 3/1 for 3-places. I might lay both. The shortest of AOB is Diamond at 19. The bookies' ruse and slow boat Ben is out to 24 now.
|
|
By:
It’s not my thing Impossible to lay, I’d rather just back against them.
Bonnard was fav for the first, short and would have been one I’d of layed after his last run if I was that way inclined. |

Bright Light is my bet, Euro 92 at 149.
Bright Light is for sale at Arqana, Deauville, tonight. There are four 3yos in the Arc: Varandir (4); Benvenuto Cellini (1); Bright Light (8); Maltese Cross (11) Bright Light is German trained. His Arc draw is ok in 8. I prefer 2 to 7 on this fast ground. His form is fair, placed in his last two races, both Group 1s in Germany. You might think Group 1s outside IRE; GB; Fr are lesser Group 1s, but to keep the classisication Group races must be contested by high rated horses. Last race: In the Grosser Preis von Baden (2400m Gr1) 6th into straight, closed to 3rd, the winning time a fast 2:27.66, about 3rd fastest time in the 60 years of the race. Second last race: In the Grosser Preis von Berlin (2400m Gr1) he was 2nd, beaten a neck by a 6yo mare. In his 5th in the Furstenberg-Rennen he was blocked into the hedge at 300m. Not a clear run. His first race at Strasbourg, won that maiden by 4l, trotting over the last 200m, jockey checking for danger. He did not run as a 2yo, which suggests he is a middle-distance horse. He might be outclassed in the Arc, but the odds are attractive. Positives: distance; going, draw, odds, weight Doubtful: form; jockey |

Where did Pierre finish? Amelia is running in the 15:25. Why?

Nice write up Kincsem, I’d posted the trainer comments about those bad runs, the one where he was cut up. The other in the Italian Derby he was left in the stalls for five mins and missed the start by 4 or 5 L.
His odds still look too big to me, Rabbits Foot beat Tiffany who he very nearly beat. Rabbits Foot was 2L behind Friendly Soul, has been 1L and bit behind short priced fav later Sunly, the form stacks up, his price doesn’t. Ps his jock has been doing well in Germany and is French, the horse has C&D from his second in the Listed first time out. Last time he finished ahead of Giavelloto (no fluke) who has twice beaten Kaplana. This year and last year. GL |

Impossible Pierre was 6th of 8 in the first beat 3 1/4 L

The horse is two heads away from being 6 starts with 3 wins.
One a listed on his second start, the other in an all aged G1. He’s placed in two of those will hopefully love the test of stamina and be running on when others said no more! Fingers crossed xxx |
|
By:
With the dismal performance of Pierre no wonder Ben has taken a walk in the betting. I think their trainer is running them despite of their well-being is suspect. Mental to me.

Would you have a horse trained by AOB? I would not. I believe his priority is for his major employer similarly, Mr Mullins.
