Straight - Good, Good to Soft (in places),

Derby course - Good to Soft, Good (in places)

Despite concerns, these are not extreme conditions. I don't think the going will have that much relevance to the eventual result. Listening to some you would think it was heavy out there.

By time derby runs (4.00) could be fair bit softer/heavier - not sure it suits the favourite either.

Can see the field splitting in the Derby, with some bigger priced ones going far side, maybe an AOB horse as well?

they've got 3 in coronation,if their going to use the far side in derby you,d think their no 1 in coronation would stay far side

If the AoB gang thought about splitting the field before this with a couple of theirs, then they might be re hatching plans now!

camera angle/close ups probably made it an optical illusion but you could see on shots from behind, horse closest to stands rail was kicking lumps up compared to winner, they,ll probably be racing right across the track in derby and  coronation

Makes you realise long term ante-post betting is hard. Someone could have worked out something well in advance and the selection goes well on Good to Good to firm and in June this weather. It really is about picking a horse and getting the right conditions months in advance.

Hushwing, probably correct, but that would suggest that Sparks Fly could have won by 20 lengths if Laura had come across

Very good, and arrest the man or woman who took a leak on the track.
