Straight - Good, Good to Soft (in places),

Derby course - Good to Soft, Good (in places)

Despite concerns, these are not extreme conditions. I don't think the going will have that much relevance to the eventual result. Listening to some you would think it was heavy out there.

By time derby runs (4.00) could be fair bit softer/heavier - not sure it suits the favourite either.
Report 1st time poster June 6, 2026 1:12 PM BST
pundit after pundit telling us its a Longway to come across today to standside

I might be been a bit thick, but if  everyone comes across what difference does it make how far it is ?
Report Hushwing. June 6, 2026 1:15 PM BST
nonsense it will not ride 'good' anywhere . it will have a big impact on the results
Report Hushwing. June 6, 2026 1:32 PM BST

Report wondersobright June 6, 2026 1:33 PM BST

Report Andriy June 6, 2026 1:36 PM BST
Can see the field splitting in the Derby, with some bigger priced ones going far side, maybe an AOB horse as well?
Report wondersobright June 6, 2026 1:38 PM BST
3s above 7f...similar to fri card g/s but likely heading soft through afternoon

Report wondersobright June 6, 2026 1:39 PM BST
there's no 9/4 shots in khazi race
Report 1st time poster June 6, 2026 1:42 PM BST
they've got 3 in coronation,if their going to use the far side in derby you,d think their no 1 in coronation would stay far side
Report Kalaglow June 6, 2026 1:44 PM BST
Aidan and his gang walking the far side, pockets full of lead?
Report saddo June 6, 2026 1:56 PM BST
18 inch spikes on.
Report wondersobright June 6, 2026 2:09 PM BST

Report Delashay June 6, 2026 2:11 PM BST
Fair play to her
Report Delashay June 6, 2026 2:14 PM BST
If the AoB gang thought about splitting the field before this with a couple of theirs, then they might be re hatching plans now!
Report Cider June 6, 2026 2:15 PM BST
Baker effectively saying he told her to do that.
Report Hushwing. June 6, 2026 2:18 PM BST
i'd still be inclined to come right over.
Report 1st time poster June 6, 2026 2:18 PM BST
camera angle/close ups probably made it an optical illusion but you could see on shots from behind, horse closest to stands rail was kicking lumps up compared to winner, they,ll probably be racing right across the track in derby and  coronation
Report ALIEN SEX FIEND June 6, 2026 2:24 PM BST
Makes you realise long term ante-post betting is hard. Someone could have worked out something well in advance and the selection goes well on Good to Good to firm and in June this weather. It really is about picking a horse and getting the right conditions months in advance.
Report Frogger June 6, 2026 2:26 PM BST
antepost can be become a right mess just have to suck it up some years.

Report Regbutler June 6, 2026 2:54 PM BST
Hushwing, probably correct, but that would suggest that Sparks Fly could have won by 20 lengths if Laura had come across
Report Frogger June 6, 2026 2:55 PM BST
Very good, and arrest the man or woman who took a leak on the track.

Surprised none of the low drawn in that 5f took the risk and went over to rail...
Report uptheirons June 6, 2026 3:39 PM BST

COC who was telling us there was plenty of good in the ground 4 hrs ago now aying its oft all over,so it must be nearly heavy  for betting purposes
Report stu June 6, 2026 3:54 PM BST
would have been a gamble yes wonders, but maybe one worth taking from looks of their finishing positions.
