Brilliant ride , threaded his way through after Tattenham , from last place initially .  Most of the others did not stay , Thundering on certainly did.

pundits already spent hr,s discussing derby horses handling epsom and there,ll be another 4 hrs,but they never mention oaks horse,s handling the  track or any of the over 100 + horses,2 yr old,handicappers,stake ,group 1 winners who,ll come down the hill before THE DERBY is run

It's not a real classic. Real classics are restricted to 3yo. There's nothing unreasonable about the comment, unless you take personal offence as an Irish warrior

I was impressed by the way it both stayed and showed excellent quickening in the finish. Takes some doing in a race that caused several to weaken and against another that had pulled clear of the field.
If people think that was eye candy, fair enough, but would be very interested to see it run again (and the price)!

The Irish St Leger has been open to older horses since 1983. I thought it was a lot sooner, but 43 years ago it was.
