What am I missing? Ypu don't lose fitness in a couple of months. Gosdens comments blown way out of proportion. This should be 2s on imo

The race is at 19:12 tomorrow at Sandown. I think the horse did not win this race either last year.

Why I’d avoid : Gethin has had his form franked easily by Best Secret in France this year, when he slammed West Wind Blows. Burrows horse also stays the mile and a half, will like the stiff finish at Sandown. Will Ombudsman? He wasn’t only beaten in this last year but was also in the Eclipse. Horses for courses? Is he more speed than stamina having won over 1m 1f in Dubai? Comments from the Chamion Stakes “Raced in last, raced wide home turn, soon headway on near side of group, went second over 1f out, no extra final 110yds” Almaquam was only 1 3/4 behind in that race, Gethin had beaten Saddad 3 1/2 who was only 2 1/4 behind Alm at the weekend and given lots to do. |

horse to run after that has been well beat mostly.Both the 2ND & 3RD ran in the same race @ Sandown on their next start,were 4TH & 5TH,hammered. |

Pen they weren’t exactly short next time, one was 7/2 came the second, next 9/1 the others any price you like. Think he’s better judged on the runs that mentioned.
Ombudsman is no doubt a class horse, but Gosden doesn’t cry if they get beat prepping for a G1. This run is to tell them if they can compete at 10f or need to step up in trip. The owner already has Best Secret who’s earmarked for the Hardwick over that distance so you can see why they are trying. Burrows will also have a line through Ammnat. |

If Ombudsman does need the run or simply underperforms then imo the value this evening is Wimbledon Hawkeye at 40 on here.

Aventure was 2/1 freely available last weekend whilst the Graffard horse was odds on, that was value because there was a false favourite and she was the wrong price.
