Any reversion ? |

Just tried to use it and sort by Odds....doesn't work, clicking that changes the order of the card number. Sadly, clicking the card number does exactly the same.

Unfortunately end users are no longer considered when making gui changes, think it would have been hard to make it any worse if they tried! |

In 1985 Coca Cola introduced their new recipe.on testing customers preferred it.
The world went crazy and everyone hated it. The cola board were at a group meeting in Italy in the mountains, they went out for a meal. The owner of the restaurant on realising who they were, brought an old original bottle out in a wine basket. It was then ,the directors realised their mistake,if the impact reach this far. After 79 days they went back to the old formula. They then spent millions on advertising to let customers know . This leading to the new seekers advert. I d like to tech the world to sing,in perfect harmony, It’s the real thing. The real thing being the original recipe. I know 2 members of the new seekers( they reformed ,with band members splitting to form new groups). So I m hoping they might write a new version for the post. I d like to teach the world to read The racing post website Find form figures and betting odds In perfect harmony It’s the real thing. |

Verdict at the top before the runners.
What utter cretin thought that masterstroke up ![]() |

The update seems to be directed at casual race goers, less facts, more verdicts.
But anyone who is a member of,clearly isn’t a casual race goer, Maybe the app, could be ok for this,as a lot of casuals will use that, but the main site won’t be. The worst simple issue is. You click on a race, and the page you see hasn’t got any horses names on it, |

Just so much wrong, as said by almost all the unreadable typeset and dazzling white space a major culprit, but plenty of other changes that make no sense. Example being when you click on the RPR or TS, the default order is from bottom rated upwards - no one views private handicap ratings whether it be RPR or Timeform from lowest upwards. It's though the presentation was decided by someone who spends more time searching for Eric Clapton albums from worst to best than form studying. Also, when browsing through a 2 year old maiden or conditions event I like to look at a list of the past winners of the race . You'd previously just scroll down to the bottom, now you have to bring up a whole new page via stats.

I can’t really think any negatives of the old site,it did everything, loads if you want to or basic stuff if you wanted to.
Why are those who tested that, worse than those who tested this, Quick tips at the top, fine ,but I don’t think members think this is a priority |

My registered letter to the RP management enclosing a print of this thread was delivered on 29 May. I've heard nothing back by post, email or phone. Not massively surprised. They'll no doubt pigheadedly continue with this version of the pro cards to the annoyance of a lot of users.
I tried, folks. |

Ego's are far more important than the product....they've totally destroyed the site

Well done Wadders, thanks for your efforts, sterling work.
Their lack of interaction says a lot about their managerial style. Arrogance personified. |

I cancelled and have requested a refund for the previous month.
I note their ads on social media are currently offering £12.99 p/m for the basic package. Trustpilot reviews as expected ... https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.racingpost.com |

You'd think they would take note of the Trust Pilot reviews which are without exception absolutely damning.

I think with studying form its all about what you're used to. When you know exactly what you want and exactly where to go to find it, the last thing you need is someone changing things. That's not to say some things can't be improved, but change for change sake is never a good idea. Where there is a case for change, the way it's done is crucial to customer relations. The RP could be a textbook exercise on what not to do.

whoever thought that this was improvement is clearly not a punter, takes twice as long to plough through i have started using attheraces instead.

The Verdict before you see the runners showed the stupidity of the layout
|
|
By:
Yup, putting ther verdict ebfore the runners is a poor decision. As it making some of the typeface so small it is very hard to see.
Also, on two mornings this week, the PostData / T/S and RPR tables (under the Stats tab) have said 'No data' for a number of races across the tracks. This hap[pened last week, as well, but my email to them was met with 'in the light of any other complaints, it must be your brower etc etc' followed by a pretty daft 'solution' which did not work anyway. After about 30 minutes the problem correcrted itself as someone clearly put in a temporary fix at the paper. This week, the problem occured under two differtent browsers and then corrected itself before going again and then correcting again. Three more emails to them have yet to produce a resposne, and i did tell them in advance not to blame my browser etc etc. Clearly this is not only a disappointing change to something that was not broken but it has also been badly implemented with poor double checking. In my days as a mainframe computer programmer for a big bank, and then data centre director for twp others, this type of carelessness would not have been allowed. But 'my days' were 15 years and more ago and standards are obviously much lower now! |

The only logical conclusion to reach is that they simply don't give a monkeys,The Knight.
Countless emails have been ignored/disregarded from lifelong subscribers with absolutely no response other than from their pre prepared script. What a way to run a Business. |

An update on this. I have now received an email back from Tom Kerr in response to my letter and a printout of this thread. It sounds like they might be putting in some fixes. Fingers crossed.
Dear Mr ___________ , Thank you for your letter about the new Racing Post racecards and my apologies for not responding to you sooner. I greatly appreciate your thoughtful and comprehensive feedback. It is appreciated and will be passed onto our product team, who are continuing to process feedback and mapping out future development. I fully understand how frustrating it is to have a product you use daily suddenly change, especially when it interrupts workflows you've developed over many years, or where (as unfortunately happened with our new racecards) some features are initially missing or broken. The team has been working to address the most pressing issues with the new racecards and feedback such as yours is enormously helpful as we consider the steps to take over the summer. Best wishes, Tom |

At east you got a response, Wadders.
However, the general tone is that the new product merely needs tweaking rather than being binned. It would be informative for him to explain why the old racecards needed replacing, and what features the old racecards could not support that had to be introduced. Well done anyway. |
