I can't find the number of newspaper tips for each horse in the race - only for the RP Verdict selection. It was a (small) part of one of my systems.
Am I missing it or is it gone? TIA |

Click the "tips" box to the right of "verdict"
|
|
By:
Rob-Invest...the tips were actually very important, all at a glance on a scrolling webpage next to the horse....the reason they were important was you could gauge the market with them way before racing even if you took no notice of the actual tips...you could detect with fair accuracy overbet horses

Thanks. It's rubbish though, isn't it. They used to be next to the horses name - no extra clicking, etc.

Just another thing to add to the list of things they have made more laborious to use

Clicked on 'Selection Box' and got this....

Are today's runners for Stable Tours still available? I found all the tours by getting into News but can't find today's runners yet.....

Previously there was a tab on the "racecards" page, but another thing that has disappeared

I've finally found the list of the last 10 winners of a race. Instead of it being under Pro Card they've put it under the Stats+ button right at the bottom of that page. Another comment is just how much longer it takes for a horses lifetime form to appear in its separate box. Like some other punters I'm finding form search has slowed down with this revamp

It's disappeared that, Tattcorner. I emailed them about it. You now have to trawl through each horse individually instead of them being viewable at a glance. Will probably get the standard patronising reply, if they reply at all.

Actually I take that last comment back about the loading speed. Its sparked into life now and if anything, for me at least, it seems quicker than before.

Thanks ease..quite a while ago I mentioned that stable tours runners on the day is a bit unwieldy because the comments might be from a year or more ago, and they agreed with me. So I guess they finally bit the bullet and stopped altogether.

It is so f8ck1ng difficult to see what you actually want/need to see if you are trying to evaluate form.
The things they've done with moving around the simple facts like OR,RPR, TS, age, weight, Verdict, spotlight...it's doing my head in! They have until August to sort it out or my subscription will not be renewed. They have turned a very good, user friendly website into an atrocity of unnavigable confusion. |

The new website is just rubbish

Has anyone had any response from RP ? - that they even acknowledge the issues ??? especially with missing RPR tables. ============================================================================= Yes! appears to be a generic holding response though ![]() ![]() |

The so called improvements have made form study a more laborious process and it now feels like a chore. Whoever signed off on this shouldn't be in the job

After the weekend I am going to print this thread off, add a covering letter and send it registered post to Tom Kerr at the RP offices. I have sent two emails, one with a cut & paste of this thread and neither received replies. Utter contempt for their paying customers.

Signed, but doubt the RP will revert back to the original format.

Signed. I noticed in the settings if you delete the odds showing for each horse that more than half the space alloted for each horse on the page is then empty white page !
So important data such as OR are in tiny letters and squashed up with ts and rpr yet half the page has been wasted on a box with the odds in the hope people click it to place a bet direct to the bookies so the RP earns a commission! It has become little more than a bookmakers revenue raiser , rather than a racing enthusiasts tool for following their hobby. |

Can see all pages except race cards then get Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading www.racingpost.com (see the browser console for more information).. Tried all usual things clear history, power off and so on and different browsers still get same message.

This new format change looks very modern at first glance, but that disguises the backward steps that have occurred with the update. Having to click on every horse to find its form is a laborious process, especially in big field races. The old version allowed you to "remove" horses and they were placed below your remaining kept selections.
Why was no beta testing, allowing subscribers to give their thoughts etc, provided? This update seems to be the RP's equivalent of Affordability Checks, as it is already putting me off from wanting to trawl through this so called User Friendly offering, which means I won't be inclined to bet on racing in the future. Yours, a very grumpy subscriber |

I'm giving them one week to change it back, or I'm going to cancel my subscription. I'm totally gutted by this.

I have not had a bet since it changed, just cant be bothered to navigate round it, the card layout is a huge offput.

Top Speed and RPR is what i tend to use most then check the write up about a potential selection and see how it ran last or previous race and obviously it's likely SP.
The site is now an absolutebdogs breakfast. When I'm looking at the TS or RPR I can't see the card and the prices, have to go back to the card to see the prices and write up. On my Samsung S25 Ultra the RPR and TS are a jumbled mess, if I turn the phone to Landscape it's a bit better but still horrible to read. Initially it often said no information available but that seems to have stopped happening. I gave it a few days to see if it was just me, none of us like change generally but this "upgrade" gives me absolutely nothing extra and makes using it on my phone nigh on impossible. On my laptop it's better but the flicking between screens still applies where previously once I had expanded the TS and RPR then everything was there in front of me on one page. Very unhappy and will not renew when the time comes, I'll give it a bit longer to see what they change as it needs sorting. Angry is how I'd describe myself and the responses from the RP so far suggest they don't acknowledge any issues ? I'm guessing they don't actually use their own site ?; |

The Racing Post in its current mangled guise will almost cause as much harm to UK racing as affordability checks!!!.I think it should not be underestimated that the Racing Post has been for decades a friendly accessible gateway to introduce newbies to take a participating interest in UK racing....now it seems intent to put itself behind a paywall and turn itself into a niche closed in club....thats the wrong direction, surely even its advertising bookies need as many site hits as possible, its a false economy...Keeping the Racing Post accessible and open globally to all gives massive support to UK racing...after years of slow evolution the Racing Post had turned into a slick perfect interface where you could assimilate data rapidlyTthey have now allowed bean counting suits to totally ruin the site and it should not be underestimated...this is to the detriment of British racing...they should swallow their pride and return the site the way it was....or it will just decline into a mediocre site no one visits in large numbers. The people who came up with this site should be sacked en masse.

Received this in addition to the generic cut and paste others have already posted
"We can confirm the PASTWINNERS, OR, RPR, TOPSPEED and POSTDATA missing stats are now displaying under the Stats + tab, after a fix was put in place earlier today. There were initial issues following the migration to the new racecards which we are pleased to confirm have now been resolved. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused." Problem is none of the data is ordered as it used to be, just randomly scattered about each table. ![]() |

✦ AI Overview
The Racing Post website and app have faced significant criticism from users, particularly regarding recent interface changes, increased paywalls, and technical performance. Many users have described the updated platform as "cluttered" and "not fit for purpose," often expressing a preference for the older, more straightforward design. Key Areas of Criticism Poor User Experience: Users have reported that the new app is "clunky," with some noting it has become difficult to use for analyzing race forms. "Bloatware" & Clutter: The site is often criticized for being overloaded with advertisements, heavy affiliate links, and excessive "next-generation" features that slow down performance. Increased Subscription Costs: Long-term users have expressed dissatisfaction with the shift toward paid content, with some describing the cost of the full package as excessive. Anti-User-Friendly Design: Comments on platforms like Trustpilot and forums have described the interface as having "a mind of its own" and being harder to navigate than in previous versions. Focus on Monetization: There is a strong perception among users that the design prioritizes advertising and prompting bets over delivering a clean experience for studying racing form. Independent Advice: Some reviews suggest that there are better alternatives for betting tips, though the site remains a major source for in-depth data and news. Historic Regulatory Action: In a separate, unrelated incident, the Gambling Commission previously chastised the publication for its conduct regarding editorial content. Despite the criticism, some users have noted that the site still provides essential data, but the overall sentiment from a portion of its user base has been heavily negative regarding the user experience and rising costs. |

I can't help thinking that it is not just being unable to quickly study the specific form lines I use but that it is effecting me negatively, thus pisssing me orf, and causing me to make irrational decisions, leading me to do my bollox! |

Excellent response, well said. We have been "privileged" to receive numerous "upgrades" from RP over the years, most of them uselerss and completely at odds with the old, but very relevant maxim of "if it ain`t broke don`t fix it". This latest debacle, however, clearly beats everything for being ill conceived, irrelevant, non user friendly - it is just plain daft. The only conclusion - it is bookmaker driven because they are the only ones who could possibly benefit from/approve of this disconnect from reality exhibited by RP. Possibly atr will approve as this total nonsense from RP can only elevates the attraction of their site. Hands up RP, you have dropped a brick on this, own up and make sure heads roll. It`s called damage limitation. |

There really is no such thing as an 'upgrade'
It is designed, performed, and enacted by an idiot who knows nothing of customer requirements. THEN some Fʊcker at the Racing Post (also, any other firm that has a website) approves and signs off on it. They all need sacking. |
