No he should have gone first up in the Guineas, then flopped, so munters could think he’d rise from the flames next time in the Commonwealth Cup.
Then the press could remind us of the likes of City of Troy blah, blah

Wasn’t such a bad run having watched it back, anyone thinking that one of his will show up in the Kings Stand?
Has a record of sending 3 year olds there and two books are at odds with who they go lower on.

He’d maybe had of won had he stayed straight and I think that they are learning about him still, I recall seeing him as a 2 yr old come between horses to win.
Every time he’s been headed he’s found more when joined by another horse and being left out in front doesn’t suit.
Bet in numbers go 20/1 for the Kings Stand the rest go 25’
Whereas prince Wills go 20’s for Darwin and the rest go 25’s
Will both show up in the Commonwealth or will one take in this?
Rayevka is as low as 8/1 I can’t see her giving Albert 3lb she’s been dominated every time that she’s ran against Montelle (even when in receipt of weight as a 3 yr old)
She likes Ascot but doesn’t for me have the scope to give weight to a powerhouse 3 year old.

Big Evs finished 1 1/2 3rd @ Evs 2 years back and was ahead of 4 yr old Believing. Has previous Ascot form as a 2 year old having won the Windsor Castle (Listed)
Darwin has won the Norfolk G2 and IS double digits
Albert looked yesterday as though 5f @ Ascot would be perfect.
One look and you’ll see the race has had many a 3 yr old winner, last one Bradsell 14/1 3 yr ago.

AOB needs to be less effusive and cut down on the hard-sell on his future "star" charges until they actually deliver as a 3 yr old. The annual lofty appraisal of one or two of his "star" horse/s has/have been off target so many times most have dismissed off-hand as foolish, unprofessional and even disingenuous.
Until Albert Einstein can deliver a sequence of Group 1 successes this season I do not think he's even as good as Caravaggio, the sprinter with a sensitive soft sole.

I’d like to see him held up behind, not too far back, agree so far he doesn’t look top class and I’ve put forwards why he does talk them up however how sceptical it sounds!
This horse is such a size I can see why they put him aside, must of needed to to grow and he’ll maybe not be at a peak as a sprinter until he’s 5.
We’ve sold some mediocre types that have been transformed when trained in Hong Kong when given time, I hope that he gets more of that.
He needs to talk less for sure Impossible.
Thoughts on Darwin Pen?
At least it’s got us talking about it.

I'd not use the term "talking". I'd say annoyance; self praise is no praise. AOB ought to stick to training. Lately too many false dawns.
The incessant supply of pedigree horses is the major difference between him and another good trainer.

We get to see Hawk Mountains form from his last run represented by
Lord Clover, trained by Francis-Henri Graffard.
The son of Siyouni and Lady Frankel, who wears the colors of Ballylinch Stud, has raced three times this season and is currently coming off a second-place finish behind Hawk Mountain in the Prix de Guiche (Gr. III).
While Aidan O’Brien has already announced that Hawk Mountain is among his hopes for the Prix du Jockey-Club, Lord Clover returns to the mile, a distance that suited him well during his debut in February. Among his rivals are Alparslan and Shayem, trained by Karl Burke, as well as Title Role, trained by Simon and Ed Crisford. Finally, seven German contenders will attempt to defend the trophy, including Asker, who will be ridden by Oisin Murphy.
We also get to see the Dee Stakes form should Burke run Shayem.
