Saw the tail up very early, which can mean the horse is in stress/fear.

yes I saw that wonder. I know little about horse physiology but he was galloping very oddly as they went into the back straight. Very sad indeed

It's called "flagging" when the tail does that, and often a very bad sign.

Every week this seems to be happening..to get injured running at a hack canter.

Another unsatisfactory "race" irrespective of the sad injury to Sir Gino.

I love jumps racing, but I really don't think I'd miss it..

Very interesting to know what happened wonder if it hurt itself because it was going so slow

Henderson must be one of the most unluckiest trainers around with top horses.

Sickening, it's ironic that after all the falls we've endured from CH it's the other stable superstar that came back from near death and has never put a foot wrong on the track that this has happened toSad

Great to seem him back for March so all the scum cashing in on the incident lose a bundle. Hit 200's

The catastrophic big race hurdle results have never been so prevalent. Last years CH seemed to start the rot  and in all honesty, I am beginning to actually dread watching those events.

Think he was feeling the rear off hick and then when he landed over the hurdle I think it went . Looks pretty bad having seen similar injuries. Everything crossed for him.  I thought Dan Skelton dealt with it so graciously and with true concern ,well doneDan.

Lame/trapped nerve? Probably explains the strange way he was holding his tail? I'm just guessing really but let's hope it's not as serious as it first looked

After what this horse has been through during his life, he deserves the best medical attention and then a well-deserved retirement.

We're always fed the continual BS from onnections, "we'll let the horse tell us", well CH has been telling connections for a very long time now that he don't want to jump hurdles anymore and still he was wheeled out to jump hurdles and still they're doing it.

The irony of it, wrapped in cotton wool when he's on top of the world, ther exact opposite when they are chasing they're losses.
