Sad sight. Very much hope he is alright.    Brilliant run again from Jonbon.  Guts, class and consistency.  My favourite NH horse by far.

hope he is ok ,that result confirms  that no 2 races are ever the same jonbon hammered by il etait last time but was struggling on same terms and very doubtfull woulda won if stood up . so many variables to consider .

Not easy BEFORE the race is it Wonders? Laying an inform, bold & quick jumper for a place? Learn your mistake and move on

For me these races aren’t for punting, they’re for watching.  Consistency of result is a rare feature in this grade just now.

Really? You honestly thought laying a bold jumping, bang inform horse who's level has not been reached yet was good betting business? This should definitely sound alarm bells for you!

only price matters
By:

intended laying w/o albeit at bigger price but v little money up on here that's all I'm annoyed about

Only partly. You still have to have complete confidence in your selection process

no if had 100% confidence might have 3 bets a year

I thought was slightly underpriced near 2/1 in pl market w/o was 3.4-3.6 but for peanuts expected around 9/4 pl & 3/1 w/o
By:

When: 17 Jan 26 16:21
was trading 3.4 near off & 4.2 w/o cant remember exact bsp for pl

it didn't get it easy and still placed. so it was an incorrect call, regardless of price. but most of us who have pre event calls get plenty wrong !

didn't get it easy, was taken on. sure he saw them off eventually, but that was probably why he didn't have quite enough to see off strong staying jb. I thought Harry gave it every chance, no complaints, good losing ride.

gidleigh & jonbon were upsides 1st fence then they rounded the bend carver took a pull then made a bad mistake 2nd fence presumably tweaked something
jonbon & fav made mistakes when attempting to press 2nd's good jumping meant lead wasn't contested
