Owners group syndicate all theirs for £150k a horse per year and are around the 140th horse in their ownership, that's some business plan.
I get the £50 a share is acceptable to those who buy them, what do you get for £50 these days but their is only one winner and it's not their thousands of owners |

It didn't need Columbo to work out how the sockless oik was funding his punting

Cheers Penzance, she has done well for ursa major and she loves having winners for them. She said they were great to train for.
Her standard of horse is gradually improving, fingers crossed it continues, they work hard and the care the horses get is second to none. They are turned out immaculately on race days. Katie herself is great, really down to earth and a lovely person. Will be a few trips to Newcastle over the winter months, you can't beat it lol |

good luck dealer ,owning /syndicates I would imagine the way to go is to enjoy the racecourse trips and yard visits hope to make a profit rather than expect to . treat it as a bit of fun enjoy the buzz and if you make a few quid its a bonus .

There are some really good ones out there Foyles. The ones with the 3000 shares aren't for me but they do generate massive interest.
We get loads of stable visits, a free owners day, all drink and food provided.Owners Badges whenever they run. Free badges offered if she doesn't use her allocation with any horse. A WhatsApp group for each horse, with regular photos, gallop videos and planed entries. |

..and that is why syndicates are doing well, especially for those who may know less than others or be able to afford less than others.. Stable visits and owners days are massive to these small investors....sometimes just having a one to one chat with the trainer will be all they need to feel involved and connected, as well as a connection to the horse. Good luck to them. |

Good luck to him......jealousy is such an embarrassing trait...oiiiii oiiiiiii Basher

I concur with the dealer (16.20). I'm not remotely interested in syndicates with a zillion members, but had shares in a couple with Dan and Claire Kübler (10% and 5%) and currently have 5% in a couple, one with George Scott at Newmarket (not run for us yet) the other with Danny Murphy at the Curragh. The 3 that have run have all won, 5 wins to date, many place finishes and we sold Salamanca Lad with a 100% mark-up. Basically everything TD mentioned we get, a lot of fun that hasn't cost us much over the years (several BF posters with us)

Take your nose out of Basher's chuffer,Horatio

By:
What would you say to the individual if you met him in person Iron ?
Oh hi basher……you ok…..yawn ffs |
|
By:
Exactly the same,Aceform.
You really should try to develop your extremely limited vocabulary |
|

Met him a couple of times on course including Longchamp on classic Sunday earlier this year. I didn't have a conversation as such, but told him i didn't want his filly (So Perfect) to win, that may have sounded harsh at the time, but i did wish him good luck (i was on the fav).
Harmless enough, but if you watch his videos, could feel he's a losing punter overall and i certainly wouldn't want to be part of his syndicates. As already intimated on this thread by another, a very bad decision to refuse 2.200,000 for the filly. |
|
By:
any proof that was a genuine offer ? we sure it wasn't 'the guvnor' calling with his best Japanese accent.
i value your hoss at 2,200,000 (that was what you told me bash, wasn't it .... ) |
|
By:
maybe it was 2.2 million yen ?
|
|

walter mitty 2.2m

I really do not give a toss what the sockless oik, Basher does.
I just wonder what Horatio's motives are in giving a blow by blow account of his life |

How in God's name could Basher put forward that offer to the Syndicate if it wasn't genuine?
They say,"Yes please" and he would be Bankrupt ![]() |

....and do feel free to post the "blow by blow account of his life" that i've reportedly posted.
You don't like the guy, that's fine. No need to get all stroppy about it? |
|
By:
did he put if forward to the syndicate ? were you there when he did that ?
|
|
By:
In the words of Robert De Niro....."you talkin to me?"..
|
|
By:
i say to the syndicate, look i'm going to say my mate dave's offered us 2.2 million for my sofa. so i'm basically valuing my sofa at 2.2 million.
now, if any mugs come in and say forget Daves offer, i'll give you 2.3 million for your sofa. we take it. and we party. cos the sofa's only worth £14. |
|
By:
No member of the syndicate have said otherwise about the vote.
|
|
By:
they rejected 2.2 million b'cos a) they didn't like the thought of running into a lot of money and b) they like the free tickets, pie chips and beans when they go to the races.
no brainer. |

a brand new Ferrari ?? fk that, i'm free into Southwell next week and they're doing scampi.

GP1 Placed, still worth money when they sell.

|
By:
you never know whats round the corner. wouldn't most of them want the ferrari on the drive ?
we're talking about people who were wandering around Longchamp shouting and swearing at all and sundry. |
|
By:
What's that got do with voting on selling her?

By:
it's not the behaviour one would associate with anyone rich enough to turn down a large amount of money.
