LIDL is an abomination. I shop nowhere other than s&m or sainsburys or weightrose. Food is too cheap and LIDL and co. are a menace and most of it is poor quality. Giant agribusiness are their suppliers and not good for smallholders or artisinal producers I get 50% of my lemonade from the offy, who is very good value, only £1 surcharge against the supermarket on a £15 bottle |

I buy a lot of croissant at Lidl, very nice and 4 for 2 quid
with lidl plus, double that elsewhere. I've never looked at wine but I'll try the two reds he raved about if they have it. |

I accept Bradford is hardly known for gastronomy and might not have s&m but you are not saving that much on vino and the variety is much greatwer elsewhere. A nd not that expensive because of intense competition and despite the spiteful tax increases from Rachel Theeves

The ignore button is there for a reason. Anyone could opt to use it for reasons of extreme personal abuses eg wishing another poster or their family ill-health or death; intimidation; unpleasantness or incessant verbal bullying.

Suspect stabbed DLR passenger night before Huntingdon attack
The Huntingdon train suspect stabbed a DLR passenger the night before going on a knife rampage, it has emerged. Anthony Williams, 32, has been charged with 11 counts of attempted murder – one of which took place in the early hours of Saturday. British Transport Police said the separate incident took place at Pontoon Dock DLR station shortly before 1am on November 1. It is understood his victim suffered facial injuries after being attacked with a knife. Williams then left that location before going on a knife rampage on the high-speed train to London on Saturday evening. |

Police watchdog looking at whether opportunities were missed to arrest Williams before train knife rampage
The police watchdog is understood to be looking into claims there were missed opportunities to apprehend Williams in the hours before the train stabbing. On Friday 31 October, Cambridgeshire Police received a call that a man had entered a barber’s shop in Fletton, Peterborough with a knife. It is not clear what the police response was to that incident but several hours later at 12.46am Williams was allegedly involved in a knife incident on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) at Pontoon Dock close to the City of London Airport. Sources have suggested that Williams may have been identified as a suspect in that incident but that relevant information was not shared with the appropriate police force. It is understood at least one referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) and a statement from the watchdog is expected later today. |
