For me the 2nd came across slightly and was intimidating the winner. Then the winner did come slightly off its line and bumped the 2nd as it was going past it. It really should stand but with the small margin involved and a bump there is a chance it goes. 1/3 is fair in the stewards though as clearly the best horse won.

cudnt see anything from the 2 side views...my opinion is the 2nd has went 1/2L up going into the last fur but winner has battled back to nudge ahead whilst sl bumping 2nd 50yds out..has it cost the 2nd the race? not imo but as its bumped it and won 6" its no bet.

poor decision for me. Anyone who understands racing knows that the first past the post was getting back up regardless of the bump. And also no doubt the 2nd came over first. But that's why you have to be careful betting on stewards with small margins.

First past the post was already getting up, second didn't stay well enough. If that's the standard now, everything must go that touches from now on. (Obviously it will continue to be a lottery)

strange 25k being laid in the foto as if anything looked like 2nd was edging right going into last fur..cudnt see the the bmp at all on both side on views.

nope, I was quite tempted by the 1.07 in the long wait for rtv to show the head on. if anything it looked like the winner was interfered with, side on. but a case of too good to be true, someone in the market had seen it before rtv showed it

looked back at this and it looks like a sub 1 second bet on the fptp at 1.01 when it reopeend for photo betting before again reopening for the enquiry
who could do that?

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong, involving the winner, EXPLOSION, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa and BOURBON BLUES, placed second, ridden by Jack Callan. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of EXPLOSION as on the run to the line, BOURBON BLUES appeared to be holding EXPLOSION before BOURBON BLUES received two bumps, turning its quarters and taking the gelding slightly off its intended line to be beaten a head. The interference was found to be accidental as EXPLOSION shifted left-handed before being quickly corrected. The placings were revised as follows: First – BOURBON BLUES; Second – EXPLOSION; Third - CRYSTAL PIER (IRE).

the biggest embarrassment was the stewards on the day saying 'we believe the 2nd was holding the winner until the bump'. whilst i appreciate the stewards dont have side on drone pictures, the drone clearly showed the winner going from a nck down to a nck in front again and holding the 2nd.
