He says he got it wrong with the horse. They knew it was a bleeder so why bring it back in a G1?  You can't knock Haggas's record lately  but maybe this was a bad move. Doubt we'll see it again.

if it's a bleeder, it might bleed in a seller.

If it was working Ok why not try it in a lower grade, perhaps York.
Slightly separate point: Graffard said about Calandagan  "we didn't want to be greedy" after winning the K G. He's a guy I'll follow.

Haggis hates York

Think you are bit late for the FHG train. Hes always tres court nowadays

If Stoutey can be excused for running Ajdal in a Derby I think we can excuse Haggas for this error in judgement.  Love  He doesn’t make many does he.

Was it even a mistake?

Did you have a view on the sand being kicked up there,Honcho?

True.  He didn’t walk away and hide either.

The trouble with "Bleeders" is you will never know until you run them
Report Busyfool October 19, 2025 7:57 PM BST
That is stating the bleedin obvious

Economics had a racecourse gallop at Newmarket, which they showed on rtv.

Of course, they aren't 100% reliable but he was deeply unimpressive.

The horse wants further, he’s not quick
Enough over 1 Mile 2 at G1 level. Problem
Is, they were trying to make him a stallion, and thé
Further hé goes, thé less he’s worth. Starts winning
Over a mile and half plus, he’s then a 5k jump sire
Report Cider October 19, 2025 8:16 PM BST
We'll forget about the Irish Champion!

I think that race bottomed him, personally. Had a VERY hard race.
Report ponchoslament October 19, 2025 8:25 PM BST
He’s a Night of thunder colt, who will be 250k next year
So he’d be the only N.O.T at stud, but the horse is just
A galloper, and now a bleeder, he’s bled a few times.

They have to retire him now, but a risky proposition as
A stallion ??
Report ponchoslament October 19, 2025 8:26 PM BST
Hé was flat out thst dsy, one of the first off it,
Hé Won despite the trip. Hé wants further

Wouldn’t mind betting AR ends up covering jump mares. He’s a deep Impact
Although Coolmore will give him every chance first 3
Seasons, at 30k ??

I’m not sure Cidre bets, I don’t see where he gets the time ?
Report swiftynifty October 19, 2025 8:58 PM BST
He beat Dubai Honour in the gallop who ran well today in France, but the worth of gallops 'form' is? without weights, times etc,  only that he didn't bleed.
Report Rico-Dangleflaps October 19, 2025 9:00 PM BST
not sure what can be derived from a racecourse gallop where all 3 were being nudgled along.
Report uptheirons October 19, 2025 9:01 PM BST
Gallops are worthless as you don't know the weights being carried by either
Report swiftynifty October 19, 2025 9:01 PM BST
is 'nudgled' a mix of nudged and strangled??

Give you an extreme example of gallops
Was on thé heath one day, watching Stoutys work

A horse called calling dot worked with Golan
And one other, csnt remember its name, good horse

Worked over 7, calling dot com, was unraced, it kicked
Both horses out of the way, won gallop by 6 lengths, gorgeous
Looking horse, Yarmy was screaming accross thst heath, whats thst, whats x is riding,

It ran in 3 maidens, backed it twice, well best all 3, always an
Excuse. I think it got 42 from memory, not sure stouty ever ran
One thst low. We drove to Yarmouth to bet it in the H/csp, had a good bet at 4s
Well beat. A very very expensive lesson learned. I think Ivan Allen owned it

"Morning Glories" was what they are known as,poncho
Report Cider October 19, 2025 9:16 PM BST
Since they knew it was a public gallop, they would have wanted Economics to look good, but he didn't.

No I don't lay long odds against. He wasn't even fancied anyway. I posted about the racecourse gallop as people are moaning that he shouldn't have come back in a group 1. However, he had a hard enough racecourse gallop there, not like the horse knows the difference.
Report ponchoslament October 19, 2025 9:20 PM BST
Oh dont I know thst Irons,  got to do it on the track.
It was in the sales we were going to nick It
But I think he sent it to littmoden, hé won races with It.

It needed to find all the trouble goin in a race, bury it
Tge pack, thst kept it interested, used to travel over
Everything at home
Report uptheirons October 19, 2025 10:08 PM BST

Report Rico-Dangleflaps October 19, 2025 10:39 PM BST
as sed above, how can ewe possibly take heed from gallop work unless ewe nah what weights on their backs?
Report Cider October 19, 2025 10:50 PM BST
You can't, but fortunately we were gifted with logic. It's not usually the aim to make it look like potential stallions struggle to beat inferior rival in a public racecourse gallop. They aren't prepping him for a 0-70!
Report Rico-Dangleflaps October 19, 2025 11:21 PM BST
they were all nudged along..just a bit exercise.
