Jesus Christ there is some big news coming out from the northern jumps circuit about race fixing. This is big.

We’re probs not going to get sued by all the northern trainers and jockeys involved but will let others break the story.

Huge bans for a lot coming, courtesy of WhatsApp chains.

Don't try to be a smart arse pieman.
I am fully aware of the suspects but,as I have zero faith in the BHA to run a raffle I will refrain from naming them

Sooner or later somebody will be sued on here for making libelous claims.
BF would be forced to give full details if required to.
However,as many posters wouldn't have a pot to urinate in,it might be a while yetLaugh

When are they going to investigate football match fixing, only 2 games in to the Scottish season and some of the decisions are basically cheating. The rangers penalty awarded today was not right.

It did seem strange that a notorious high profile owner who had horses linked to the jockeys stable alluded to on this thread hasn't posted on twitter(x)for 3 months.handbrake on!

Often wondered if there's 10 horses in the paddock pre race, how many connections are actually 100% trying to win. Some horses might be running at an inadequate trip, not be fit enough to win or perhaps the purpose of the run is to keep dropping in the handicap.

We all know it goes on. Anybody who says otherwise is kidding themselves on.

Given some of the dreadful field sizes we get its not too great a leap of faith to think that results could quite easily be manipulated pre race.

A better question is to step back and ask what "trying to win" actually means. Lots of punters and pundits speak as if it means "expects to win" but if that were so, there'd surely be half a dozen odds-on shots in every race.

Turn it round. How many are actively trying not to win? One or two, perhaps.

The dull fact is that most runners will take a win if they can get it but realistically need everything to go right for them and for something to go wrong for their main rivals: being blocked in at a crucial moment, or on a slower patch of ground, or having a jockey who is not one of the top riders, and let's face it, most of them aren't.

I'd not call those horses non-triers, even though no-one expects them to win.

They don’t technically all have to be trying to win.

The rule is,the best possible placing.

Clearly given the hcp system, you can’t keep winning.theytarget races where they might have the best chance.
Going,dist,track,weight.
That’s the whole point of form study.

The jockeys job is to achieve the best possible place,or look like he’s tried to get the best possible place.

People moan when they see a jockey not trying to do this.if the stewards agree,he gets banned.

All pro sport is fixed we just got to try and guess when what we bet on is trying to win.

There’s probably been 100k pro sport players across every sport in last 30 years,

Weird how no one has come forward saying it was fixed.

Bit of a wild statement.

so true

i happen to know that liddellpool were ordered to lose against palace and refused to do so but as a compromise were persuaded to draw and then let us see what happens after that as not winning was the aim

Right lads, keep it quiet, but lose today,no one will know, there’s only 25 people in the dressing room,it will never get out.

Minor fixing are you having a laugh bookies dont make money out of been lucky and as for balancing the books it s not possible to balance a book with all the weight on one side

Most of these sportsmen earn or are worth more than any bet payouts.

Alright Ronaldo, fancy a quick 2k,just lose on Saturday ,I’ll meet you round back of stand to give you the cash.

Ronaldo,I’ve just earned 2 k whilst you told me.plus will earn 10k walking round to back of stand to get my money.

Alright,alright 3 k. But that’s my final offer.,easy money mate.

Stop it ya making s,how of yaself ,its not about one person its the industry thats why it generating so much money and Denise Coates can pay herself hundreds of million a year easy money they paying for the results. IF you ever want a tip dont ask a jockey dont ask a trainer ask a bookie

The bookies don’t know although they have better info, from their own odds compilers,to astute bettors,or even involved bettors,

Again,same argument,what bookies,how many of them,it would leak.

They’ve got a good idea,or a strong possibility, even if wrong, they ll be right more times than wrong,
They want to be wrong,

If you back a horse everyday and never had a winner,at what point would you stop.200 days,2 years 5 years.
They want you to win, occasionally,it’s up to the punter to manage that, which most don’t.
