She didn't jump a fence but the betting before was v telling.

By:
2.3 to 3.9 was a clue but many have gone in despite the drift.
Very small for Chasing |

as i've said a million times on here...
if the authorities turn blind eyes all the time.. folk will just do whatever they want... anyone who watches Newcastle during the darkest days of Winter must surely know that by now ? |
By:
imagine this was one of your first bets on horse racing...
never anywhere near getting involved... who would blame anyone if they said... fk this i'm going to have a bet on the footy instead of this utter crap... at least they will feel they got a run for their money win lose or draw... and the folk who run the sport wonder why young folk aren't interested in horse racing ffs... (certainly from a betting point of view at least). |
By:
will i bet on a 12 runner horse race where my horse might never be seen with a realistic chance ?
or shall i have a bet on the football / tennis / snooker where it's a 3 or 2 runner race and more than likely my pick is trying their best... the clowns that run the sport in the Uk and Ireland think they will take the horse racing option... fkn idiots. |
By:
Do you really think that The Stewards are going to pull in JP over there on a Chasing debutant?
You have to be realistic in life |
By:
I cant remember the last time i punted one of his horses
By:
Stewards dont care what jp does ,,hes good for the game

By:
i'm past caring what the stewards do now irons...
it's blatantly obvious that we now have a 'you can do what you want' policy... as far as i'm concerned racing can go and fk itself... absolutely rancid sport imv. |
By:
Has been proven on many occasions over there Foyles
By:
There was no case to answer anyway.
By:
apologies...
i meant to say... absolutely rancid sport full of vile human beings. |
By:
Tom faulkner should have been warned off last nite after what havlin did , u couldn't get any more blatant not one strike of whip and havlin yanking horses head back so not to place, if ran on its merit it would have won with consulate ease , horse drifted from morning price of 3 out to 10 on machine , they profited from place market too
By:
I notice now too bha don't seem to mind bout cheating anymore , no one ever pulled in now , but if a jockey tries to win by extra whip , they ban him ticketboo
By:
It is usually the "small fry" that get nabbed and has always been the case
By:
It's only a guess but I'd say the bha and bookmaking industry have become to agreement that a certain amount of favs have to be stopped throughout season , the more favs beat the more money for industry given higher bookmakers profits , in all my years punting I'd never seen so many short ones stuffed
By:
John francome said before that bha should open their own bookie and let the other shoiters go to hell and deny picture rights to them , profits would not be going to shareholders and people could get on unlike present situation but unfortunately this will never happen as there is too much corruption intertwined between bha and big bookmakers plus governments on both side of irish sea with bookmakers ,it's a cosy cartel of corruption, ibas ,gambling commission are all facets of bookmaker Industry to keep enclosed shop
By:
I don't think that Francombe is in any position to offer advice on integrity

Mics. 15.42. Fair point.

Jeaniemacaroney had been well backed on chase debut but she lacked any fluency and never figured. [Tim Mitchell]
Taxi for Tim |
By:
Jeaniemacaroney made mistakes in her last hurdle race, then won a maiden on the flat, today made her debut over fences, the bookies as they sometimes do with a Mullins horse, put her in the market too short, she didnt jump well at all, especially at the 2nd 3rd and 4th and made another mistake 4 out, I very much doubt that JP made any money from this performance, does anyone think that he is that desperate?
By:
It's not that he's pressing pink obviously but does he enjoy laying one out for a novice handicap chase? Yes he does.
By:
This one would fit on a charm bracelet
![]() |
By:
Unless i'm far more naive than i think i am i'd say JP wouldn't get involved in that laying nonsense for comparative peanuts but pretty sure he has manufactured the odd handicap mark on occasions.
![]() |
By:
If you know that one will not be winning,it gives you a better chance of backing the winner if you wished.
By:
bottom line is...
JP can do whatever he wants... we know it... he knows it... they know it... authorities too scared to go anywhere near asking a few Q's... a sad reflection on a scumbag of a sport imv. |
By:
I would state for the defence that JP puts enormous amounts of money into the game and would be an enormous loss to the sport
By:
bottom line is, surely, owner pays a trainer so as the horse wins a race; and it is the trainers job to do the business for the owner, hiding a horses true ability is an art and then finding the race you want it to win is skill and luck combined?
By:
Correct,bettysboy.
Nobody forces you to back his horses and I rarely do except for the top graders |
By:
as i said..
scumbag of a sport. |
By:
It is a fabulous sport but you have to be very selective,Hibby
By:
that might be your view irons (and you are fully entitled to it)...
certainly ain't mine. |
By:
That is fair enough Hibby.
Good luck |
By:
HH - do you bet on racing? It seems you are "out of love with the game". If you do what compels you to do so?
