Something seriously wrong there, wouldn't even make my top 100. One flew over the cuckoo's nest, butch Cassidy and Sundance kid, the searchers, gone with the wind, Spartacus, kes , the sting not even on top 10. Yet lots of the rings makes the top ten.

charlie mullins good have p[layed bob hoskins role banging on about british exceptionalism, how the common markert/europe would over take usa,with a large dollop of trophy wives,racism, drugs, knife crime slashing and run down london streets,it could have basically been written last week as a biop of twitter/social media and not written 50 yrs ago,people who want to have their country back can save the bus fare ,theyve already got the 60/70,s today |

Pandora....The films you have mentioned are superb, but to say Shawshank wouldn't be in your top 100 is crazy. For my money if you asked 100 people i'd be surprised if 20% didn't mention Shawshank immediately.

'Of kind hearts and corenets' for me. Quite liked Terminator 2 and the Star Treck film where they had to beam back a minke whale from the lat 20th century to save the univers.

Several brilliant films mentioned on here.
Blazing Saddles just stupendous, The Searchers, Shawshank quite ridiculous really but brilliantly entertaining. Casablanca a standout omission Ned must have had it before because he didn’t complain enough. Does anybody know/can anybody name the character trying to get the reprieved’s life story for T I t b I t s magazine at the end of Kind Hearts and Coronets, another I agree with. The Good, the bad and the ugly absolutely brilliant too. And, Please Sir. Terribly under-rated. It’s like a modern day Shakespeare play, full of nuanced relationships, sub-plots, pathos, humour, even a Malvolio type figure in the nanny and full of seventies nostalgia/reminders etc: Still love seeing repeats. Finally, It Happened One Night - Gable and Colbert. Absolute classic. |

Loved Brassed off, had a great cast led by the extraordinary Pete Postlethwaite. I tend to like older films in B/W as the stories had to be so good.
