votes for kids is a blatant attempt to manipulate the electoral maths becuase of a perception they will benefit. do you agree?

^ Is this what you are referring to as your pertinent question?

If so, the answer is that it will probably (to a very tiny/insignificant extent) benefit everybody except perhaps the Tories i.e. Greens, Liberals, Labour & Reform. However it won't make a significant difference to any party.

Due to the ageing population, 16 & 17 year old's make up a trifling percentage of the population. Pick any age group you like from 60 years old and upwards (spanning 2 years, e.g. 60 & 61 year olds) and that group is bigger as a percentage of the population than 16/17 year olds. If you then also factor in the respective propensity of young people versus old people to actually exercise their vote - it becomes even more insignificant.

Maybe you could have researched these facts for yourself rather than falling for misleading headlines? You admit you know nothing about pensions, maybe you could admit that you don't really let your lack of knowledge on any subject get in the way of expressing your ignorance.

indeed your grace. excellent sermon, please include in todays service, if you are working today

thats not what i asked is it? i asked if it was an attempt to manipulate the the electoral maths, which is not the same thing. you are suggestin what might happen and then making light of its impact

the outcome is unknowable but the intention is to garner more labour votes. thats the question. do you agree or not?

his grace hits the right note

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Apologies for injecting, some facts. The answer to my question (that you felt unable to answer, despite demanding that I answer yours), is that the age of eligibility for paying Tax and National Insurance is 16.

run wild with the insults. i really dont care and they are meaningless because they are performative and nobody believes em

you injected what you want to say, as usual. the fred is about 16 year children voting. you brought up pensions because its one of your favoured subjects and steers the fred in a way you prefer to go

dont answer your own question, try the original one, again. is this an attempt to change the electoratal arithmetic to potentially bring in more labour votes iyo?

you are sounding like michael howard

I can't be bothered to educate you any further - all of our interactions follow the exact same format:

You take issue
You insist I answer your questions
You overlook the fact that you don't/can't answer any of mine
We argue for about 3 days
You (when confronted with any facts) typically then concede you don't actually know anything about the topic
You claim you don't care anyway and revert to character (mischievous drunk & all round cheeky chappie)

It's futile.

I understand your predicament, the management, but ironically
Not with mitolo, seems a cerebral type to me. But unfortunately
These platforms, where we have one thing in common, and we come
To meet, descend into confrontation, owing to some punters lack
Of even basic comprehension, and have had Frontal lobotomies, without
Informing the forum

i alwyas answer yours, if poss. which is why i flunked the pension q, which was mysteriously introduced by you

i dont argue, i point out your habits of changing the subject to suit yourself and i always stick to it

facts? eg, i said on a different fred islam was mysoginistic and dangerous and intolerant. you said it wasnt then brought up wimmin in the uk 70 years ago and the crusades as back up. ludicrous and embarrassing nonsense

youve just dodged it again

you actually think its a blatant vote-grab but dont care and cant bring yourself to admit it. if the tories did similar youd say so, at interminable length

neutral observers will see this clearly and might recall you alwyas duck out when wrong-footed

If it were some opportunist ploy that people like him are making it out to be - I'd probably be against it too on principal - but anybody with even a just passing interest in politics or current affairs would know this was in their manifesto and that having won a General Election they have a mandate to at least try and achieve some of it.

heres another q from earlier;
are you suggesting those opposed to this but who voted labour should have abstained or voted for someone else?

nobody would of course

you still dodge.is it a blatant attempt to gain more votes by changing the electorate or is it not? if you cant bring yourself just say so
