I heard a story about animal lovers well two, one was about a farmer in Wales who was in a field giving his sheep and ploughing!

The intercity link broke down and came to a halt revealing his dastardly deed! Laugh

Other that I read in the Metro was about an Italian Farmer who had taken his prize winning chicken to a secluded spot by a cliff.
Just by chance, a large rock fell as he was giving his prize lithe attention he thought that was wanted.
Both bodies were found splattered! Laugh

So all I’m saying is …. Location, Location Laugh

With all due respects I gave you credit UP THE, I’m guessing that you’re worn out from work.

A few are starting to think that you’re  Trapman himself because of your constant protection of Murphy the wrong ‘Un.

I don’t recall any criticism of his riding ability.  Other than when he rode a stinker on Kameko at Ascot.  Devil

NeC a couple were for Gosden, could he be in line for the Lion in Winter and not Buick? He’d taken young and old Frankie under his wing.

I've never been taken by his riding or his media persona. I do not know why. Maybe it's an instinct I've developed over the years. It's nothing personal, I can assure everyone.

If memory serves I think Mrs Balding called him a "little monkey or "that" monkey live on air on a racecourse. I cannot remember the transmission or event of the occasion.

There’s nought wrong with being cheeky and it was when he was younger I presume?

It’s been said he’s had some fights, apparently Clifford Lee loves his boxing outside of racing, uses it to train his reflexes and keep fit. Hope he’s not tapped on his shoulder! Scared As he might oblige!

Eddery, Swinburn and Sir Cecil had their demons. But, never drinking and driving, and crashing into a tree and hurting a passenger.

But, times have changed; integrity and responsibility have been sacrificed and overtaken by self-interests and personal gain.

Why on earth would any gambler care what he's like when he's not riding or talking about horses. Or any other jockey for that matter. It's bizarre to say the least. There are hundreds of jockeys, no doubt many of them have got all kinds of shyte going on past and present in their private lives, just like many of the rest of us. And some of it could well be pretty unsavoury. He's not a priest.

The major difference is he did it in public, and hurt caused an injury to his passenger. Then he refused to cooperate with the coppers.

All these transgressed on integrity and responsibility ie conditions for being a fit and proper person to trade.

If Mr Murphy is a priest, the Pope is a Muslim or an atheist. There are so many jockeys able, willing and responsible as replacement.

The BHA is not a proactive but a reactive and non-innovative entity; bookies led, BHA followed --> present dire state of UK Horseracing.

That's just made up. He does have to be licenced to be a pro jockey, as far as I know he retains his licence.
By:

When: 19 Jul 25 12:18
"he retains his licence"
That's the $64k question. Why? Mr Murphy has a history of drinking - he missed several scheduled breath tests. Any another sport eg tennis or football - he'd have been toast for missing unscheduled drug tests; football - betting. Plus negative behaviour outside a boozer.

These were common knowledge. Mr Murphy has form. But, business as usual for Mr Murphy aided and abetted by the BHA - an ineffective regulator, and toothless!
