That was the most thrilling game that I’ve seen in a while and yes the level is below the men’s games, they could take something from watching our girls and their spirit. Hemp was poleaxed with a cowardly elbow, no rolling about fifty times, just got up and got on with it. That’s commendable as was the never give up attitude.

As for levels and quality anyone playing OR 50 rated nags in low grade handicaps today?! Grin

Thrilling match, I’d say the highlights for some,
Were the showers after, not

And to think they get paid for such poor ability,
Even requesting equal pay

We‘re living in the new world

What a shower of misogynistic onanists there are on this thread .Can't you enjoy the england teams success without belittling their efforts and sexualizing the young women?
Rico's comment about " penus " says it all . A comment you wouldn't like from your twelve year old . What a midget of a man .

Never give up attitude was very strong and a lesson to some other teams I could mention, male and female. The women's cricketers seem to have fallen into a period of don't care if we win or lose. The match last night will have taken a lot out of them but I believe that Sweden are a lot better that Italy. Spain of course are 2 leagues ahead of all the rest.

Agree so they did well and had a bit of luck too, which also helps. Have never watched a penalty shoot out like it! Laugh

Nobody pretends that Swiatek or Keely Hodgkinson would beat the best men in their sport so why keep on about the women's football, cricket or rugby? They have different skill levels but will always lack physical size and strength. In Tennis and Athletics, the prize money is the same for both sexes but not in team sports that are run by Neanderthals.

Hmmm sage, but the gulf in skill and almost
Everything in the football, is huge, the penalty
Shoot out was comical, you can watch woman’s tennis
And the runners, they are very good.

With the soccer, 14yo boys would beat the top international side??
This **** is been pushed and forced on people, with license fee
Payers money, has a very Ltd appeal, yet it gets parity with
Mend game in coverage, when they play to completely different
Levels. And these pink lettuces lickers, want equal pay. Thsts what
Pisses people off

Skill levels is the point sage, all the other attributes you highlight are common to both sexes.
The day I see a woman footballer signed by and played by a men’s CLUB club, and selected for CL matches, I might - might start to respect their inferior football a bit more.  I wouldn’t think I am alone in that, amongst the derthals.Love
But you fail to mention how the main media channels now call it football as opposed to woman’s football whereas more and more the football that really matters is called men’s football.Men’s Cup Final.  You really have to laugh at that.  Laugh
So who are the prejudiced ones?
You’ve been suckered by the brainwashing old pal.

Name calling our girls in the National team. Real cool and big. Lots of failed male footballers out their envious that some get to do what they dreamed of! Laugh

As for citing youth teams being able to beat the ladies as an example of how inferior they are (because that’s what you’re saying) as though they are tiny wimps because they are 15, 16, 17, 18, is nonsense. They are chosen most of the time because of their size and skill. Anyone who’s played at a high youth level knows that they are well developed precocious types.

Thanks Loyal. The high school that I attended had the best team, based on us having a sports teacher who was the youth team coach for Chelsea.

Students would come from all over the borough to attend and we had the best team that won everything.

One that failed was the smallest of the lot, his body couldn’t take the amount of football that they were forced to play to keep up on in.
You had school, county and then pro youth team league football.

I played against them and the gulf was enormous, they had hairs sprouting sideburns and thighs like men compared to the rest of us back then.

A couple made it to play pro but the numbers of wastage was massive.

Yep.  My old man said always have a look at the Dads because that’s a good indicator of how a young player will progress physically.
“A good big one will always beat a good little one” was a hackneyed phrase of the old time pros turned coaches.  Whether it was true or not is debatable. Of course there are many have proved otherwise but physique and motor skills will always be an advantage.  The great coaches see beyond that though and dig out Bests and Messis and Maradonas.
What a great game.

There ain’t a lot on so I’m happy to watch! After Wimbledon and the duff racing cards it’s not so bad. Had we gone out, it might be different!

Those two Loyal didn’t need coaching it’s like you asked with art, some talent is just born. Maradona best I’ve seen.

Recall when he stood in front of an audience at Oxford they threw first a tennis ball, then a golf ball, he caught them wearing his suit and dress shoes and played away! He was tough on the ball too, not for knocking off, had some proper punch ups on the pitch when he was younger.

Your dad’s saying I recall hearing and they use it mostly in boxing now, many applied it to Fury and thought that he would prove that. Sometimes you get one that defies all rules set before them.

The Spanish did what many thought that they’d do last night, but was more calamity! Laugh Missed two penalties! Laugh

Was a frustrating night and they didn’t look as great as in other games. Pressure of expectation?Confused

A lot like the men’s team they are dirty and well skilled in the dark arts, high five when an opponent gets the red carded, finger wag to the ref and Lino’s, dive and roll about feigning injury,  then after winning want to hug and swap shirts! It’s in the blood to be that way! Grin

England is 3/1 for the Final. I think this is good value despite England need to get pass Italy prior. I think they will. And, any hiccup with Spain England could be fav for the competition.
By:

It’s too short for me Impossible with the calamity factor involved! Some of their Italian girls were watching the game last night and the Spanish centre half misses that game as got another yellow card. Her fellow centre half was furious with her!

If we get to play them we have to put a forward up there to attack, she seems a liability as she can’t help herself from fouling.
Key is to not give them room to shoot from anywhere near or just outside the box - think they do that (shoot on sight)  to take advantage of below par keepers?

Also important to frustrate them, be physical when you can (in attacking mode, don’t get shoved off it) knowing they’ll fall over at the first opportunity when challenging them.

Have to say as much as the players have been slated, the refereeing has been absolutely atrocious. Could do with some more experience in that part.

On skill and ability Spain is the best in the tournament. I like the women's game because a goal is almost a guarantee; the men's esp England under that "plonker" was woeful and could not take advantage of repeated "friendly" draws; semis were bomb-outs.

3/1 is a position for arbing. I think England will saunter past the Italians in the semi; James and Carter underperformed last game. And, England needed the crosses of Kelly which won us the game.

No penalty, please.

Sry to be pedantic impossible but do you mean England are 3/1 to get to the final or 3/1 to win the final?

“England IS 3/1 FOR the final”?
