Type of graph you'd give a kidney for Hib , should be concentrating on another match by now after trading this beauty
|
|
By:
this is what pays for trips to Paris tbh Hayden.
|
|
By:
After that spike though Hib it would be criminal in my mind to still be sweating profusely at the outcome.

By:
oh you are right Hayden...
and if you layed Yastremska at say 1.4 and she goes out to say 6... and then goes on to win... you are sick as a parrott... the issue i have is all the hanging around... but i suppose if that's what you do to make a few £ then you would do it... the other issue i would have is 'at what point do you green up ?'... and if it goes the wrong way do you 'red up' ? |
|
By:
Nice touch Yastremska didn’t bother shaking hands at the end

2-1 Yastremska...
well done love... cracking match that. |
|
By:
No i've never gone red up Hib , i play the sliding 70/20/10 from 1.29 max downwards then see how much equity that gives me on the way back north , sliding scale gives you options to not have to make it an exact science.
The key of all keys to me is getting the required strike rate right to make hay long term , that's why backing low or laying high is a swerve under any circumstance for me as needing a 90%+ strike rate to make a living is well nigh impossible. |
|
By:
it's the finer details of it all that would 'annoy' me tbh hayden...
lay Yastremska at 1.4 say... then i suppose the obvious 'green up' point would be when she levelled at one set all... and if Zharakova wins the 2nd set it's a 0.4pt loss (which is fine as i wouldn't expect to be right all the time)... can't remember what the prices were at 1-1... hang on i'll check. |
|
By:
hang on...
just remembered Zhakarova was a break up in set 2 which made Yastremska trade at 6... so that would be the green up point... mind you i'd probably bottle it and green up when Zhakarove won the first set tbh... not sure if i put that price on here i'll check tho. |
|
By:
aye at 1-0 Zhakarova Yastremska was 2.14...
in all honesty that would have been my green up point Hayden. |
|
By:
lay at 1.4...
back at 2.14... doesn't sound like a huge profit to me tbh... considering your initial outlay is 0.4pts. |
|
By:
It flip flopped from 1.05 so your 10% would have kicked in making it very nice
|
|
By:
lay £100 at 1.4...
back £65 at 2.14... roughly a green up scenario of £35 risking £40 if it goes wrong. |
|
By:
i think that 70/20/10 thingy would be too much for me tbh Hayden...
i'd be more of a watch the first few games... does it look like being resonably close... if the answer is YES and the lassie is trading reasonably short then lay her... then back her back if the other lassie wins the first set... and if she doesn't then tough it out and hope she turns it around... and if she doesn't you lose your 0.4pts (in the Yastremska case)... i reckon that is as much as my brain could handle tbh Hayden. |
|
By:
1.4 too high for me , why ignore the flip flop from 1.05 remembering it's the match your trading not a single player , players are selected to possess the ability to lose from the jaws of victory and also win from the jaws of defeat.

If Draper were anywhere the hype surely he wouldn't need to camp out against a pensioner?
As regards the in-running not for me. Betting for me is about opinion and sticking with it. Most of the time it doesn't work, but it's a good pretty feeling when it does. Maybe in-running is too complex for me, trading a lot of different opinions with the hope of eventually coming out on the right side. Going back to my original point if punters had confidence in a sport to generate enough predictable results they wouldn't need in-running. How did punters get on before in-running? |

Yastremska was 1.24 this morning...
i'm pretty sure it was 2-2 when i said 'this looks like beinga close one'... so at that point i think she was trading around 1.4 (can't honestly 100% remember tbh)... that's why i said 1.4 Hayden... you've got your list which is clearly integral to your trading... i would just be using my eyes and brain as a match is in progress (and any knowledge i had on the players in question)... it's the sort of thing i'd probably try... finish about level and think to myself 'oh i can't be arsed with this any longer'... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
Great that we're all different dd that's what keeps the exchange going , it's the personal opinion i hate which is why my punting eliminates that as much as possible.
They've all got mountains to climb to get near the big two who look a class apart and have produced memorable clashes already with plenty more to come i'd reckon. |
|
By:
God forbid we'd all end up doing the same thing Hib or the exchange would be extinct
![]() As excitement and entertainment goes my strategies in all sports would rate zero as the final result is immaterial , being a BOT user as well probably confirms me to be the most uninteresting poster on the forum ![]() |

i think if i ever did the tennis in running i'd need to study the betting patterns a bit more than i do tbh Hayden...
i mean when Zhakarova was a break up in the 2nd set i think i said she was 1.16... maybe that would have been the best point to say 'this is going to be close so i will lay her at 1.16'... easy to say now of course... but if you think it's a closely matched game and it's early in the 2nd set there is still a long way to go to win the match... the big Q then is 'at what point do i green up ?'... when Yastremska evens the breaks up ? when Yastremska makes it 1-1... all these things are easy on paper... a lot harder when the cash is down. |
|
By:
looking back Yastremska levelled at 5-5...
Zakharova was 1.92... knowing how my brain works that would have been 'green up' point Hayden. |
|
By:
lay at 1.17 let's say...
back at 1.92 for a green up scenario... doesn't sound too bad that tbh. |
|
By:
That's why 80% of the time just let numbers make the decision , stress free gambling and only requires ultra concentration when a few imponderables enter the mix.
|
|
By:
lay £100 @1.17...
back 60 @1.92... roughly £38 green up scenario with a risk of £17... i think that's right anyway. |
|
By:
the difference for you is the list tho Hayden...
you don't do your stuff on EVERY game... i would be relying on 'do i think this looks like a close game' scenario... anyway it's something to think about. |
