the market will gravitate to the correct prices generally

this is what I think

back in the day pre-BF top jockeys likely a few % underpriced
but those prices weren't layable in the open market

It will yes but jockeys like Keane are starting off with a handicap as them being jocked up on the horse materially impacts the market (on the short side).

They are often jocked up as the connections fancy the horse (outside rides). So it's self fulfilling, like I said. Personally I wouldn't use expectation to judge results for a jockey where them simply being jocked up usually influences the market.

with respect I think you're underestimating fluid markets
tissue prices/early shows to no money...maybe
but BSP there's no chance perceived top riders are crashing horses circa 8.5%

last point on this
the perceived top jockeys largely benefit imo from riding top of pecking order
such as in maidens

be lucky

No nonsense slow pace and possibly getting trapped behind horses not going backwards, instead it was a strong pace, they fell away and the best horse went past them, Shoemark and any number of other jockeys would have won on that today.

That was not good from Keene. He got caught on the outside 3-deep. I wonder what Mr Gosden will say to him.

Very.  Courtesy costs nothing.  We have all been abusive at one time or another you however are at it all the time.
Be lucky, think for ten seconds then shut you gob.  That’s my advice.

You have neither the wit or wisdom to debate with me.

If it takes two Landaners a day to dig a hole how long will it take four Landaners to dig half a hole?

Colin is a home town hero. Knows the nooks and crannies of Irish tracks and their uniqueness. I don't think he's international class.

He's on probation with me. He's the choice of Juddmonte, from a depleted field of available jockeys. Maybe he got the gig as the redemption for Field Of Gold was in Ireland. Anyway, he needs to win on him again in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood and the Juddmonte Int at York.
By:

Of course he does.  Just like every other jockey engaged to ride top flight horses in the best races.  Your point is, or, rather, your insightful point that none of us would ever have worked out for ourselves is?

Can he not do 8st 7lbs for Juddmonte in the first race?

For how long will he remain as the retainer to Juddmonte? That was as bad as it could get. A 4-runner race, he was boxed in like a fish. A brain-less individual. I do not even have a bean on him.

I wish him all the best, but he has made a few blunders since getting the job. He will be under pressure to keep this job, if it keeps happening.

He needs a good run of error free rides from now on.
By:
impossible123
When: 02 Aug 25 11:17
He needs to ride as a jockey with a Plan B when facing a dead end. He rode virtually an identical race on White Birch in the Gold Cup at The Curragh. Also, he needs to own up when it goes drastically wrong like yesterday on Cosmic Year, and White Birch.

He cannot afford any more professional incompetence esp on Group races.
