But it is not a problem! So why make all this fuss?

The injury itself is not the issue but the infection is causing concern as time is short for medication to control it.

Oh! A slight setback in his recovery. A typical Hendo phenomenon. Why does he not wait until Sir Gino's sustained a steady recovery prior to updating the pubic? The horse is odds against now,...was 4/6 prior to initial setback.

Its just really boring. I backed Sir Gino for Cheltenham ante post last year at a decent price and it is so frustrating to watch him to continue to hammer everything this season. I'm on him ante post again and now considering laying him to get as much as my money back as possible. Often there is no info at all about Hendo inmates when they run bad until afterwards. The stable is not punter friendly.

Stupid comments on ere as per usual.
Nicky.H. is constantly giving updates,Trainers in this day of age give more interviews or updates then ever.
horses get injured or have issues its the nature of the beast
As for antepost betting only mugs play that game.

As an isolated incident it is something that happens but why is it that the best GB trainer at Cheltenham over the years seems to manage to get an odds on shot injured at a crucial time so often? It is the management of the yard that is the issue, not his explanations.

Ante post betting used to be brilliant, I've had some right touches over the years at Cheltenham. But have to agree in recent years it has became more and more a waste of time. And yes some trainers do give more interviews and updates, but so what? It never seems to translate to info that helps from a betting pov, just noise...

Hendo needs to practise "less is more". The updates seem to be hasty, unnecessary, inaccurate and hazardous to punters. Henod is the champion on this.

Another opportunity, like every year now ut seems, for bookies to take money from the panic punters wanting to now get on something else in the race. Like kids st Christmas morning for them.

From a contact within stable. Not major issue - keep punting him I'm advised!!

Let's hope betfair have a very close look at your account

Sad for the horse, connections and punters. Spared the updates - Henderson could have made a much bigger mess with this with time

Nothing new in ante post betting MJK, it was always thus although the conspiracy crowd on here seem to think Nicky deliberately nobbles his valuable charges so the stable lads can lay them.

Told the Forum yesterday it was the infection that was the worry, not much they could do about it getting worse.

Oh dear! Very bad news on the horse, lesser for punters. The horse has been ruled out for the entire season. His condition has worsened and he's in an equine hospital; the infection has transgressed and is affecting the ligament in his near hind  leg.

Get well soon Sir Gino!

Shame the trainer told everyone though Impossible, you would have preferred it to be revealed next week according to your imbecilic posts, btw well done for catching up with the rest of the world!!

I lost a few quid antepost. However, I won 190p on a free spin. All in for an antepost multiple. Onward and upward, I hope (this time).

I doubt that many if any think that Nicky would nobble a horse but at his age, how much supervision does he have of everyone in the yard?

'sageform', do not even go there. The predicament horseracing UK is experiencing at the moment is taking its toll, It cannot afford anything adversely negative anymore.

One thing I'd like Hendo to learn from this is to stop the hasty update but wait until a sustained progress prior.

What a shame for the owner; French horse bought end of 2023 and missed the last two Cheltenham festivals. Another nail in the coffin of ante-post betting, Hendo's killing it off single handed...

Maybe Hendo needs to look at stable security do they have any? Not saying this wound was caused by anyone but wondered whether such a major stable has control over who is in the yard around the horses before big meetings.
