Even buskers have card readers these days. Drug dealers will adjust.

Maybe I should pitch a television drama where the drug gangs are taken down by a bunch of nerds in NatWest's anti-fraud department. Shades of Al Capone and income tax.

The story I read says it's 40 of their cafés that are going cashless
Still very wrong
Luckily, down here in the West Country, there is still plenty of cafés, takeaways etc that are "cash only"... Some of the visitors can't believe it
Nothing like having a nice wad in the sky rocket, imo

I agree with Foyles, fcuk 'em.

I was on an easyjet flight recently, they announced that it was a cashless flight. When they got to me I ordered a toastie and a coffee, when they brought them I offered them a tenner. The girl said it was card only, I told her I didn't have a card and gave the items back, 30 secs later she brought them back and said I might as well have them now.

I know we will be cashless within the next 20 years but I can have a little fun for a few years.

Imagine if everyone boycotted the shops, cafes, sporting events and clubs that are cashless and don't give anyone a choice.

Unfortunately, as proven over the last few years, the majority are just clueless sheeple who go along with everything they are told by their TV they watch and newspaper they read.

Stupid sheeple everywhere.

DG, done exactly the same thing myself on a jet2 flight
They also let me have the food and drink for nothing
Ten minutes later I bought my duty free for cash
How does that work? Only part cashless

Puts people off going racing as well, pay entrance by card, drinks & Food all by card, prefer to pay cash out of my days kitty rather than looking at Sandown beer prices on my statement in 2 months time or spend more than i had planned and bills due out of bank account .

I prefer to pay for everything with the tap of my phone/watch, makes things easier for me. Agreed there should be a choice though.

Here exactly the opposite, Chinese and  2 fish n Chip shops cash only, must be absolutely raking it in.
By:

I think supermarkets must allow both forms of transaction; cards are convenient and no banking issue but cash is dodgy-card free, tax positive but not security. The Chinese takeaways and Fish & Chips prefer cash mostly.

Cashless would cleanse the country from dirt & infestation……

I doubt you would see much vermin wanting to invade…..

All that dirt being sold on the streets would end….

Big deal if you can’t have cash in the wallet….

the correct story is 40 tesco cafes are going cashless, these are the ones if your are lucky to have on in your town where you tap a screen to order food in the same way many fast food places do, u tap pay and go sit and the food appears quickly rather than queuing 10 mins behind people that can't make their mind up, makes total sense, has nothing to do with food as it stands

When: 27 Aug 24 18:54
id never visit a tesco cafe but the maccyd cistern is excellent as you dont have to stand near the low-life that infest most of em. and its rapid

i didnt visit until this was in place and now a regular muffin eater

i happened on one last week, had a coffee while waiting on keys being cut, loads of screens ordered in 10 secs and no queue, miles better

Very entrepreneurial and creative to make money. This must only be good for the UK economy. No wonder our GDP rose last year despite challenging conditions.

Is Ms Reeves clued up with this sector of entrepreneurialism? I'm sure more revenue could be extracted from participants.

crowdstrike did, frankly we've become so reliant on tech im not sure what many people would do if it gets fecked whether accident or deliberate, just see all the under 30s being annoyed when they can't post videos of rockets going over and then not having any fake friends to moan with

if you are (k)nicking meat aldi isnt the place to do it as it isnt readily saleable, unlike waity or s&m

some people have been raping them by attaching barcodes of very cheap items of the same weight as more expensive ones to the underside of their digits and putting through the self-service terminals

i know a geezer who has a transit van full of it. half price everything. its a bit like the old mobile shop we had but most of you wont know about that
