Decent chance he gets some fairly favourable treatment in the race from his chums.

Just the ground worries me otherwise he looks very solid.......good jockey Phil Dennis ...Rode winners for Mick Mulineax...which is an achievement!!!!

Can see them offering a 'surprisingly' easy passage for this one to trot in.

6.3 reading earlier suggests some good in ground.

Unsettled conditions this afternoon with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers, some of which could be heavy and locally thundery. The showers will begin to ease late in the day.

I think most have cleared in reality, though guess we'll see - depends which site for the weather predictions.

Ugo Gregory made the running when winning the race last year, and SDS went off like the clappers on King Of Fury round Kempton last time out, so as Park Street needs a pace to come off given his usual hold-up tactics, it will interesting to see if SDS and David Allan get hooked up in a speed duel.

At risk of aftertiming, these pre-announced retirement winners never come off.

The ones we all remember are where the jockey waits for a winner, then retires on the spot.

I selected King Of Fury a couple of times on my thread and he let me down. Not sure about the ground but he's been shaping as though this sort of test may suit.

George.B OK Tony Dobbin had two races on his pre-announced last day at Carlisle. He won on Ballyvoge in the Dobbs Finale & Future Best Wishes Novices' Chase at 4/11 in a field of five.

But he was also on the jolly in the previous race where he pulled up.

stu -- Choc Thornton was forced out through injury caused by a fall on Say When in his last ride. You must be thinking of someone else. Andrew Thornton was runner-up on his final outing so not him either.

oh was maybe a different jump jock, just remember the seas parting on others for him to win, even though horse wasn't greatest...

Similar thing when Murphy's comeback ride, Jibareen, absolutely scooted up @ 3/1 Fav with no other jockey even making an effort to get involved.

A good rider and a lovely bloke, struggled with his weight and hopefully now enjoying life to the full. I wish him well in his new job.
