I think South Africa are the right favourites the final. You would think they are less likely to bottle it than the West Indies. Wolvaardt and Kapp better than the best of New Zealand, and the rest of team more likely to step up. Green has done even less than Bates in the last twelve months, but still gets the gig. Doesn't suggest the strongest squad.
Hard to believe that New Zealand were hammered by England only a few months ago. Mair the only difference between the sides then and now. |

NZ lasses have registered a very good score.
|
|
By:
We have seen 3 scores better at Dubai in this tourney so all hope is not lost but it will take some doing under pressure.
|
|
By:
Pressure in the women's game. Only Australia have been able to deal with it on a regular basis.
South Africa were shambolic with the ball, and in the field from the first over. A length which so often said hit me, and consequently, no control whatsoever. They now need a miracle. |

All over from the moment Wolvaardt was out, despite a succession of commentators trying to suggest otherwise.
What a shower the commentators on women's cricket are. Have they heard of the phrase calling a spade a spade? It would be far more competitive than this match to pick a top five of the most annoying. In the absence of Rainford-Brent, Germanos probably tops the list. The catching is not 'sensational' just because they actually take some catches they should be taking. Is it really a 'timely' boundary when a side is left wanting 42 off two overs. I doubt any side in the history of women's T20 has got 42 off the last two overs. Then Bates never fails to take easy catches, and five minutes later...... A great tournament for New Zealand, and an even better one for the bookmakers. |

England in the mire again, they have become a piss poor outfit in white ball. All happened on Rob Key's watch

Windies are serial losers themselves in this format, its SHAMEFUL

Earlier match was a cracker Card , Bangladesh beaten after 1.16 vs Afghanistan , these two always deliver in a match up.
£41 million matched on the Bangladesh game. |

GUBBAGE Bangers done at 1.04 v Kiwis Saffers were in a right old mess but Gerald Coetze shows himself a very capable lower order hitter pulling the saffers back into game Later on Windies v My England |

Eng 1.13 to 1.26

Not sure i've seen so many dolly catches dropped in one game.
Live game now flip flopped from 1.03 in Melbourne big bash |
|
By:
New Zealand went low in test match..
1.11 looks a fat finger But 1.22... |
|
By:
Yes decent trading already , the market then was banking on a decent 1st innings lead and the opposition batting a 4th innings , i'm counting it as a flip flop from 1.34 match to date with bits of BOT stuff below that.
|
|
By:
10 wickets for Carse, err, didn't see that coming.

Usual trading strategy already sorted here with England flip flopping from 1.15
|
|
By:
did you lay NZ and SA as well presumably.. ?
or is it just after the event stuff ? (asking for a friend) |
|
By:
Posted the same strategy on here for a couple of years now Brentford , no difference here and strategy been discussed many times , you'd maybe know if you were a Cricket follower.

By:
I watch and trade a lot of cricket..
feel free to state the strategy... |
|
By:
Simplest of all lay sub 1.29 and let the flip flop deliver.
Have to respect the fact i was responding to Cardy as i've done continually on this thread if you scan back and various other threads as well as we seem to be the only one chatting the sport on here as the Cricket forum seems pretty dead generally , it seemed courteous after Cardy has resurrected the thread. No after timing intended and good luck if you're still involved ![]() |
|
By:
I think you probably would end up ahead with that (post premium charge at least)...but it's not quite the holy grail suggested at times..and without stats or p/l to back it...and sometimes these moments are blink of an eye especially in 20/20..I'm just not totally sold on model betting//trading but GL to you as well if it's working..
|
|
By:
I do complicate it a bit more than that tbh , like say working out the max loss and using sub 1.29 as a starting block splitting the liability say 70/20/10 so as to keep some back if/when the lay becomes a lot lower , also apply some knowledge looking at batsmen / bowlers yet to bat / bowl as i think sometimes that's not factored in sufficiently as it involves looking forwards as opposed to what the current situation is.
Do agree with you though that there's a need to apply some flexibility as all the regimental set in stone ways would have been tried and tested. |

fair enough fella..no disrespect intended..
