Never let a good white knighting opportunity go to waste. That would surely be the only reason to try and claim Frost is a superior jockey to Cobden.
| ||||||||||||||

By:
Cobden may be the best jumps jockey in the country. That said, I'd rather have Bryony than Lorcan Williams.

No maybes Cobden Is The Best.

Cobden is not fit to tie the Bryster's boots.
I will always remember the Queen Mother in 2021. Bryony was booked up on Greaneteen. A 33-1 shot. Thought xmas had come early. Then Politolog gets injured in his box and PFN jocks her off for Cobden. Absolutely gutted. Coming to the last, fluck me Greaneteen is in with a shout. One big jump and the race is there for the taking. But no. Cobden sits quietly and is weak as a lamb in the finish. 4th spot. Out of the places. Thanks a bunch. I just know Bryony would have thrown the kitchen sink at the last and in the run in. To top it off she boots Greaneteen home in the Celebration Chase a month later. Cobden would never have won the King George on Frodon. And BraveMansGame is an ideal type for Bryony. Huge cruising speed you could see taking off out front, never seeing another rival. Bit like what Denman did. But Nicholls couldnt handle that what with Kauto getting turned over. Seems like PFN is still playing favourites and it looks like its cost him his title.

wondersobright -- Paul Nicholls gave Lorcan as many rides as Bryony.
In the years 2023 and 24 (since I'm too lazy to look up the start and end of season dates) Nicholls gave used these riders this many times (and a few others in single figures):-

It's not a straight forward analysis as Frost has ties with other trainers. I imagine Nicholls lets her off to ride for Wadham, et al. Plus, Nicholls' tier 2 is not what it once was. Once you take out the ones they want to claim off, it's not generous pickings.

Tom Buckley what happened to him?

Lorcan does the job Havlin does for Gosden. Just give him a spin round old chap.
I'll bung you a winner here and there

There's a lady rider Elizabeth ?? who will be better than Bryony.
More nous in race riding imo. Should keep the dirty mac brigade happy

Are there stats to show BF's win/loss rate when she tries to lead from the start early on?
Someone on twitter was saying she is the best front running jockey bar none. I feel it's a case of noticing the winning rides and not the back of telly jobs.
|
By:
acey, didn't he go to Gordon Elliot? cuckoo, Elizabeth Gale.
| ||||||||||||||
|
By:
At over 34% winning rate perhaps Olive should Nicholls first choice. Lies, damn lies and statistics.
On a more serious note, Bryony Frost doesn't get the rides she should but we know why.
|
By:
She gets the same amount of rides pre Dunne and after with a similar win rate.

I think the hype has blurred people's minds

I am really impressed ( and full of admiration for ) how so many of these female jockeys, who frankly were weak as kittens when they started, have improved to become really reliable pros. Isobel Williams, Osborne, Pinchin and one or two others. Our old heroes, who simply scoffed at the idea that a woman could possibly succeed in the game, would be astonished I am sure.

Higher commission but that is the only minus for me. So slick compared to our product it is untrue.

Frost to be retained by Munir & Suade in France.
| ||||||||||||||

That is interesting as Simon Munir & Isaac Souede will presumably have access to top advice on riding grooms from inside Closutton, although I guess it is vaguely possible they just wanted someone who can speak English.
