all orchestrated by the gps or people abso despo to be 1st in.

you must feel a right clown tho Mr.Hunt...
miles clear... wins bar a fall... and you've layed it somewhere between 1.03 and 7.6... i don't get it tbh. |
By:
I saw it hit 5 with £34 available, 1 sec after it's stumble. Obvs a manual trader with a twitchy finger who was expecting a fall. I was lucky enough to get a small piece.

definitely went to 7.6 jamee...
saw it with my own 3 eyes. |
By:
do people actually lay something coz they 'expect' it to fall jamee ?
By:
On the drone pictures, or live at the track with the right angle, it's much easier to spot a potentially risky jump on take-off. I'm sure there will be some people laying potential fallers at the last before a horse has even crossed the fence.

not at 7.6 they wont.
By:
Yes I agree. Perhaps someone hit the wrong button.
By:
eg meant to lay up to 1.5 and actually laid up to 10 or something.
By:
how could you mean to lay at 1.5 and actually lay at 10 jamee ?
i'm not saying it doesn't happen... just wondering what procedure they use to make such a mistake ? |
By:
its quite simple..someone/bot offered 7.6
By:
yes i know that Mr.Hunt...
it's the reason i put 7.6 in the thread title... i am asking jamee how someone could mean to offer 1.5 but mistakenly offer 10 (his example) ? |
By:
If I was doing this then I would have several lay button options ready to hit based on how I judged the risk of a fall.
eg: lay £x up to 1.05, lay £x up to 1.1,lay £x up to 1.2, lay £x up to 1.5 etc etc. They could have misjudged risk and hit the wrong button. Or they could just have one button that lays up to a much bigger price than they would normally expect to reach, and got hit by a freak of the market at that moment. eg they could have laid £x up to 10.0 and normally would only get matched out to 1.2, but this time it went up to 7.6 because there was less available to match at that moment. |
By:
thank you for the explanation jamee.
By:
absolute sh1te jamee..
if you click to lay 7.6 the bot lays ewe 7.6..unless u clicking for a fiver. |
By:
everytime i back or lay with an overide i get matched up to my overide..the bot manages your request for their best return..meks not a jot what ewe see on screen.
By:
same as wen someone clicks the rong horse for a big amount when its trading at 1000..the bot lets you take it for peanuts every price down to 1.0?
By:
That's because you're picking up all the pennies up to 1000 and there's hardly any volume.
A horse clear and approaching the last will have hundreds, possibly thousands available to be laid below 2.0. You could easily lay a few hundred at 10.0 and almost always will get it all matched below even money. |
By:
...assuming that it doesn't fall of course. If it actually falls then offers will swiftly be cancelled, the price will shoot out, and the 10.0 might not even get fully matched.
By:
sew with that rationale, how did a 1.02 got to 7.6? someone click lay £10,000 at 7.6?
By:
Someone hit bigger than they wanted to (volume and/or price). Or a quirk of the market meant there was less volume than they expected waiting at that moment.
I think overall you generally underestimate the power of the cancellation and its impact on market movement. A whole second advantage over anyone looking to take what's there. When a price moves out, is it because it's being taken, or because it's being cancelled? |
By:
did you see the gaps and little amounts done up to 7.6? i will repeat..the bot analyses your request and maximises best return for the house..its a fine cistern.
By:
personally i think there is a bit of truth in both angles...
i think someone hit 7.6 (thinking it was a goner)... some folk cancelled thinking it was a goner... the layer didn't get the liquidity they wanted and when they thought they'd get matched at very short prices it went all the way out to 7.6 (bearing in mind peanuts were matched at 7.6 not their whole lay i would suggest)... 7.6 is probably what they always hit when the see a 'faller' (only this time it didn't fall)... so i actually think you are BOTH right tbh. |
By:
does make me wonder how fast their pics are and how much of an in running delay they have when they pop in 7.6 for a faller tbh...
considering the cancellers only have a 0.2 sec delay. |
By:
1 sec of an in running delay difference...
yet they pop in 7.6 for a faller.. doesn't add up to me tbh. |
By:
and the place is hardly swimming in in running liquidity these days...
mmm. |
By:
folkd offer 1000 for hundreds when they are 1.01 in the pink.
By:
therefore the person who wants to lay at 7.6 must have a good advantage imv...
if you know folk will lay at 1000 for hundreds... to lay at 7.6 you must KNOW you have a good advantage over them or you would go 1000 yourself... obviously you will poo poo that (so there is no need to). |
By:
i click to lay 1000 when they are 20/1..ive no advantage..in fact im at a disadvantage.
By:
stop bringing in what YOU do Mr.Hunt...
i am questioning what the 7.6 bloke does... not YOU. |
By:
if it was genuinely a level laying field...
same pic speed and same in running delay... NOBODY would lay at 7.6 imv... NOBODY. |
By:
bloke who clicked 7.6 doesnt want to risk 5k..
By:
or maybe the bloke who clicked 7.6 has an advantage over others ?
i know which one i'd be putting my money on. |
By:
pure conjecture.
By:
common sense (for some of us).
By:
track has advantage over drone..drone has advantage over blv..blv has advantage over rtv.
knee eye deer where the clicker was. |
By:
track has advantage over drone..
------------------------------------ oh so you now admit folk play at the track ? thought you said that was a thing of the past mr.Hunt ? |
By:
and if folk are playing at the track...
whereabouts exactly ? |
