JP Didn't look very well, hope he's ok
By:
Could be a tough festival for Hendo allright, very early days though
By:
have cashed out a few iberico lord bets ....still got a few left but suspect it will be a big drifter!
By:
Jurst sent his batman back to the car to refill his Hip-flask.
By:
He quite fancied his pair in the Coral Cup the morra but not looking great.
By:
Nico indicated the heavy ground was against Jeriko Du Reponet.
By:
if it wasnt for chelt prize money the yard would be shut down, just shows all his wrapping them in cotton wool is bollocks, cant be doing them any good running at the moment
By:
I thought the same regarding JP Dambuster
By:
Always something impossible remind me did Constitution ever jump a fence after all the hullaballoo after last year will he won't he hope I'm wrong looks like all his horses might need a sick note looking at what has happened so far.
By:
He was beating Telegraph Poles.Forget about him.
![]() |
By:
If this Iberico Lord gets beaten out of sight, i can see him pulling out his horses for the rest of the festival,
but lets see how it goes. The ground is atrocious. |
By:
hendo making a big play of luccia will run so him,jp and yard must be on iberico lord ew

By:
What price for Hendo's charge finishing last in the Champion Hurdle? I think connections of Impaire Et Passe must be cursing their horse is not running today given it's heavy.
By:
they'll be one that doesn't flop, esp if it was ill a few weeks ago and is now ok, so the prices are beginning to look tempting, just imagine where the mkt would be if stateman unseats

yep not ideal for shishkin sir geno and the others he may get a win with something but i couldnt toch any of his atm.
By:
I've only backed on of his AP, happy about that at the mo...
By:
Just withdraw the horses and spare punters the unnecessary pain and financial loss; the heavy ground is another mega negative for his horses esp Shishkin (remember Champion Chase?). I think this is the least, sensible and decent thing Hendo could do for the horses and punters.
I hope Hendo reassesses tonight post this whitewash. Cheltenham or not, put the horses welfare 1st Mr Henderson. |
By:
and imps wallet nicky !^^^^^
By:
Any trainer with an ounce of sense would do so for this Festival. The horses are not right - possibly sick; the results so far are reflective of their lack of well-being. It cannot just be the ground.
Shut-up shop and do battle another time. |
By:
cant ya cash out imp ?
By:
6 runners 5 pulled up & a 3rd.
By:
Dreadful
By:
As an owner i'd fairly mad if he didn't run the horse all season because he was waiting for Cheltenham, and then didn't run the horse!! 20 or 30k down the drain
By:
'FOYLESWAR', no. Sir Gino is a small middle leg Cheltenham accas going onto Newmarket. However, already had a 12/1 City Of Troy for Epsom bet sunk courtesy of Constitution Hill (CH). But, I do not blame CH. It's not the horse's fault he ain't well. It's merely unfortunate timing.
By:
good luck imp maybe lay sir gino for a bit !
By:
He spends all winter avoiding soft ground then its a soft ground festival and to boot hes out of form. Big day for Nicholls tomorrow too. If his bomb then its just a disgrace for Uk trainers
By:
Give him credit you have to admire the man he keeps joe public up to date even though some are running inconsistently hip hip hooray for noo.
By:
I wanted to back Hendos in the Coral Cup and Jonbon but now cannot back them. May place but if you cannot win, that's no bloody good.
By:
'FOYLESWAR', Sir Gino is nrnb. I'd a 15p (loose account change) acca with Soul Sister (Oaks), Auguste Rodin (Derby), Ace Impact, CH (10/11) and City of Troy Epsom (12/1) sunk. The payout was only about £55. But, it's horseracing.
If it comes up as soft as today (possibly given forecast) I think Hendo will abort Shishkin's attempt in the Gold Cup. |
By:
But for the Festival Hendo will have shut-up shop and chilled until the flu is history. I thought he said when asked by Chapman if Constitution Hill (CH) would run against State Man this season his reply was "Constitution Hill had a long way to go".
I thought CH only had flu, and be gone within days or a couple of weeks; Punchestown is at the end of April - a good 6 weeks away |
