Nicholl could look after her a wee bit better.
Report acey deucy • February 6, 2024 11:09 AM GMT
Young Freddie squeezing her oot a bit.
Report Ramruma • February 6, 2024 11:25 AM GMT
Emailandy has been backed into odds-on and supporters will hope he is not suffering from the infamous January flu jab.

But this allows me to rant about yet another of my bugbears. This race is a National Hunt novice hurdle yet Emailandy is Flat-bred. He is allowed in because he has not run in a Flat race and is by a jumps stallion and sold in jumps auctions but regardless of all that, a quick glance at his bottom line finds a solid Flat pedigree. Racing should tighten this up imo if it wants the NH programme to do what it says on the tin.

Sao Carlos at least has the right breeding.

Always has been. But you're not allowed to say it. Horses she wins on have loads in hand.

You can say it MJK and you can also lay her mounts, especially the short priced one's. Anyone posting their lay of that one? Nah, of course not!
Report Mat22 • February 6, 2024 2:22 PM GMT
Nina C and Holy D the only two Decent Female Jockeys ive ever seen. The rest useless.

Or you can have an opinion without not having to bet at all.

Report ribero1 • February 6, 2024 2:48 PM GMT
seems pretty obvious Nicholls only uses her for the bare minimum nowadays,he's sort of stuck with her,can you imagine the uproar if he dumped her?
Report acey deucy • February 6, 2024 2:53 PM GMT
Yes and he gives all that bullsh1t how high he rates her and gives her the bare minimum.
Report acey deucy • February 6, 2024 2:55 PM GMT
I have to say i think she deserves to be treated better by pumpkin.

Report acey deucy • February 6, 2024 3:22 PM GMT
Was not even thinking about the bullying she is as good as most Jockeys.

Been there for Donkeys Years where is the loyalty ffs.
Report wondersobright • February 6, 2024 3:32 PM GMT
she's an excellent judge of pace imo

but all jockeys go through cold spells
one win could turn the tide for her
Report wondersobright • February 6, 2024 3:33 PM GMT
with regards to that ride earlier, sticking to a completely dead rail flapping up & down on its back is as bad as you will see because there's no chance the winner was the best horse

i mean loyalty from pumpkin ffs whit am i talkin aboot.

Report acey deucy • February 6, 2024 3:49 PM GMT
I agree Cobden is different gear but she can still do a job**** of a ride on that last one though.

It is the number of jumping mistakes at the last 2 obstacles that would worry me.
Report grayhawk • February 6, 2024 5:24 PM GMT
Is ok on a chaser up with the pace...especially out in the country - not the best riding a finish.

Is nowhere near that level on a hurdler.
Report Ramruma • February 9, 2024 3:14 PM GMT
She's picked up an outside ride at Newbury tomorrow (Saturday) for a foreign trainer called W P Mullins. Stable third best in the Betfair Hurdle.

Then she's on the Nicholls second string in the bumper. (Or is she? I doubt PFN's had them racing up the gallops.)
Report LoyalHoncho • February 9, 2024 3:54 PM GMT
Big money race the hurdle. There's a school of thought - expressed on here elsewhere - that she doesn;t excel over the timber.  It;ll also be interesting to see how she handles the "green" bumper runner.
Report Ramruma • February 9, 2024 3:57 PM GMT
At risk of costing Bryony two riding fees, I'd rather Newbury was abandoned than see horses slogging across ploughed fields.
Report LoyalHoncho • February 9, 2024 6:12 PM GMT
I would fully agree.  You do wonder how much these bottomless conditions take out of horses.  And there is always the bigger risk of injury in such conditions.
Report mrcombustible • February 9, 2024 6:20 PM GMT
What a load of rubbish
Much bigger risk of injury on firm ground
Report LoyalHoncho • February 9, 2024 6:25 PM GMT
I agree with you.  But chasers very rarely go on firm so your point is really an invalid one.
Good luck and thank you for your valuable contribution to the thread.

Two rides for champion trainers in the UK and Ireland. Unusual, maybe Ruby Walsh did it. I quite fancy her mount in the Betfair each way at 120/1 on Betfair, probably foolish of me.
She's still a good jockey and her current record is almost the same as Lilly Pinchin's at the moment, but it's all about Bryony on here.
