Nicholl could look after her a wee bit better.

By:
Young Freddie squeezing her oot a bit.

Emailandy has been backed into odds-on and supporters will hope he is not suffering from the infamous January flu jab.
But this allows me to rant about yet another of my bugbears. This race is a National Hunt novice hurdle yet Emailandy is Flat-bred. He is allowed in because he has not run in a Flat race and is by a jumps stallion and sold in jumps auctions but regardless of all that, a quick glance at his bottom line finds a solid Flat pedigree. Racing should tighten this up imo if it wants the NH programme to do what it says on the tin. |

Sao Carlos at least has the right breeding.

What a farce.

By:
rode to sleep by paddy
By:
Did nothing to help her horse at the last two flights.
By:
Won by Paddy on the only one with a Cheltenham entry.

Beaten by a better horse.

You can say it MJK and you can also lay her mounts, especially the short priced one's. Anyone posting their lay of that one? Nah, of course not!
By:
Nina C and Holy D the only two Decent Female Jockeys ive ever seen. The rest useless.

seems pretty obvious Nicholls only uses her for the bare minimum nowadays,he's sort of stuck with her,can you imagine the uproar if he dumped her?
By:
Yes and he gives all that bullsh1t how high he rates her and gives her the bare minimum.
By:
I have to say i think she deserves to be treated better by pumpkin.

Next up Scene One 3.35 Market Rasen.
By:
Exactly ribero1. He's played the situation well.

Was not even thinking about the bullying she is as good as most Jockeys.
By:
Been there for Donkeys Years where is the loyalty ffs.
By:
she's an excellent judge of pace imo
By:
her confidence looks shot atm
but all jockeys go through cold spells one win could turn the tide for her |
By:
with regards to that ride earlier, sticking to a completely dead rail flapping up & down on its back is as bad as you will see because there's no chance the winner was the best horse
By:
i mean loyalty from pumpkin ffs whit am i talkin aboot.
By:
in front should be taking brennan line & also gregory line in later race 2 races that would have diff outcomes
By:
50+ rides a year as a back up jockey is what she is
By:
cobden has 1st pick on everything bryony lorcan & conditionals split the rest simples
By:
I agree Cobden is different gear but she can still do a job**** of a ride on that last one though.
By:
fair summary
By:
Win = brilliant beat = p!sh…..ffs turn it in…..
By:
It is the number of jumping mistakes at the last 2 obstacles that would worry me.
By:
Is ok on a chaser up with the pace...especially out in the country - not the best riding a finish.
Is nowhere near that level on a hurdler. |
By:
She's picked up an outside ride at Newbury tomorrow (Saturday) for a foreign trainer called W P Mullins. Stable third best in the Betfair Hurdle.
Then she's on the Nicholls second string in the bumper. (Or is she? I doubt PFN's had them racing up the gallops.) |
By:
Big money race the hurdle. There's a school of thought - expressed on here elsewhere - that she doesn;t excel over the timber. It;ll also be interesting to see how she handles the "green" bumper runner.
By:
At risk of costing Bryony two riding fees, I'd rather Newbury was abandoned than see horses slogging across ploughed fields.
By:
I would fully agree. You do wonder how much these bottomless conditions take out of horses. And there is always the bigger risk of injury in such conditions.
