There is no benefit from anyone involved in the production of BFL pics deliberately sabotaging pics. They still won't beat the drones.

If that's your game then obvs the latency, but they are exceptional events and it's not where the money is.
You seem convinced the whole production set-up is deliberately using inferior camera work, just to give a couple of guys in a van a negligible advantage over dozens of pro drone users. It would never be worth the cost, time, and effort.
