The circus has moved over there…..
By:
King Of Steel been given the go ahead.
By:
Still got to find one in the Turf Sprint.
Draw was more kind than not, the exceptions being two wide one's in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, and Kelina's wide draw won't help a horse running over a furlong further than ideal. That would be the bet I am most concerned about post draw. |
By:
Practical Move,2nd fav for the Dirt Mile I think, lost during
excercise today. |
By:
King Of Steel lay of the Century poor Horse had a very very hard Race at Ascot.
By:
Only just found out the news about Practical Move. Would have had it as my best bet of the meeting at 13/2. Had been supported down to half that price. William Hill went a standout 9/2 for quite a while, and looks as if they got lucky again.

I like No Nay Mets in the Juvenile Turf Sprint.Bit disappointing @R.Ascot in
the Norfolk (went off 13/2) when you look at his 9/14 finishing position but drawn in 15 in that.Won his other 3 races well & drawn 2 in this, with a decent start I think this could be the best of his trainer's 3rnrs.Probably better with bend aswell. Can see this going very close if showing. 5/1 or thereabouts with the books atm. The circus has moved over there...but left its leading clown back in Perthshire..FFS!

That's the one I ended up with. Prepared to stick a line through Royal Ascot. That straight course with a stiff finish is such a different test. There is a fear with this race that there could be a real burn up on the front end. Same in the Distaff. Clearly Hills think they can get Idiomatic beat as they have been the stand out for ages.
I intend to leave the Dirt Mile now. Cody's Wish hasn't looked as good this year, and I am not prepared to take the short odds on him getting the job done again. The Turf was the preference for Up To The Mark, and I rowed in with him. Up in trip, but he shapes as if he might improve for it. Just leaves the Turf Sprint. |

2023 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf G1
Inspiral around 3/1 looks a decent bet, she is back in blistering form smashed up Big Rock recently and he won as he like afterwards, Jaques marois Form is top Notch. Good draw in 6 and has the Best jockey on the planet. 2023 Breeders' Cup Turf G1 August Rodin will love the fast going got a stable mate in 4 to tow it along, so good draw and has top class form and i especially like the Irish Champions run. Again around 3/1 with the 2nd best jockey on the planet has to be a bet for me. 2 singles and a Double for me as they are two Great European Challengers. |

If this storm allows, I am lucky enough to be going there on Thursday. Any help on the dirt races much appreciated. I shall be looking at the those tipped here of course. I have Onesto at 14/1 and Warm Heart @ 9/2 . Backed the Japanese horse for the Classic.
By:
In full agreement with Auguste Rodin, sure to be shorter than 3/1 come race time, the best of the home entrants looks to be Onenesto who has yet to win outside of his own age group.

By:
DP, good luck.
Happy to put mine up, but they are based on just a couple of weeks work. Someone who follows US racing might be of more help? |
By:
DD a few weeks would be more than I am prepared to put in!!! Anything you have to offer. Aim is to put a few chunky bets on here on the turf races and I have a wedge of $ to play around with on course. Good luck
By:
Okay, here goes. Having chalked up one non runner, and now lost my best bet any sort of profit would be good.
In race order:- Juvenile Turf Sprint - No Nay Mets Juvenile Fillies - Candied Juvenile Fillies Turf - She Feels Pretty & Hard To Justify (two pretty duff draws) Juvenile - Locked Juvenile Turf - Can Group Dirt Mile - that would have been Practical Move Filly & Mare Turf - Fev Rover Filly & Mare Sprint - Kirstenbosch Mile - Kelina (another very tough draw) Distaff - Idiomatic Turf - Up To The Mark Classic - Zandon Turf Sprint - Lane Way won't get in, haven't decided whether to replace it Sprint - The Chosen Vron All each-way except Idiomatic. At the prices will at worst get my money back if placed. Fingers crossed. |
By:
thanks DD. No doubt a glass or 2 will provide me with my own "expert" judgement....getting better as the day goes on! But I shall have a few $ on some of those. Many thanks chap

Ended up with Aesop's Fables in the Turf Sprint in the hope that this might be his bag, he could still be improving, and most of all he doesn't get too far back in a race that will be another burn up. Some bookmakers offering extra places which I happily took.

By:
Algiers a no show in the Dirt Mile now & the fav,Arcangelo, also a N/R in the Classic.
By:
A very weak Classic without Archangelo.
Is there form missing for Derma Sotogake? I ran an interesting race in the Durby cut off a lay off since that race? That can’t be correct surely? Will need to review some of the prep races because it’s a dead race but you got a Pletcher / Velasquez g1 10f winner at a double figured price. |
By:
To confirm…Derma Japogate hasn’t raced since the derby and his trainer will lose his license soon.
He’s 68 and JRA forbids anyone from 70 and above from holding a license…they forbid it :o A little f’ed up imo |

What's the weather condition like in Santa Anita? Ground friendly with no potential deluge, I hope.
By:
Liquidity low on The Exchanges at Santa Anita currently.
Do well to get 3/1 on Inspiral looking at the market, but my other fancy August no issues getting 3's unless the boys get stuck in at some point. River Tiber been well hammered for tonight race. Ryan clearly on the right one if the money is correct. |
By:
Ryan gave it a positive write up yesterday.
By:
Anyone else going to put their selections up? There must be some who follow the US stuff?
By:
Still working on the card but I'll be sure to stick a few up this evening and on Saturday. First impression of tonight's card? I can't see beyond Europe for the Juvenile Fillies Turf & whoever wins the speed dual between Big Evs & Crimson Advocate wins the Juvenile Turf Sprint and my feeling is that Big Evs will.
By:
River Tiber pulled out after the Cash came for it.....very odd.....Ryan switches.
By:
How will Frankie do tonight, five rides and just 1/10 so far over there. Nothing stands out for him.
By:
Trying to stay clear of the obvious in search of better prices.
80/20 place/win @bsp. (£16/£4) 6.30 Go with Gusto. 7.40 Honey Pants. 9.00 No way Mets. 10.20 Lauline. 11.00 The Wine Steward. Good luck. |
By:
NR 7.40
NR 11.00 Good start ![]() |
By:
Been looking at that 6.30 barstool, Go with Gusto has the form in the book and the second in his Graded Race third has come out and won to boost the form, winning a $157k race at Woodbine, might take a top two bet with Ultra Power who wasnt stopping over 7 and might relish the step up in trip. Good luck.
By:
18.30 Go With Gusto back down from grade 1 race looks the way to go i like these class drops and at around 2/1 to kick off this card will for me.
By:
I've backed Go With Gusto for the same reasons stated. Quite like the look of Playlist @ 13/2. Trying to work out which race Dettori will win!
By:
Backed 3 places.
By:
Joel Rosario, take a bow, fecking pathetic ride, too far off the pace, rushed up before the final bend...
By:
Poor liquidity, just £52k in total, thought it would have been more for this meeting?
By:
yeah Joel going on the inside then loses all the momentum as he has nowhere to go didn't help but the winner won well to be fair.
By:
Fav in the next anywhere between 4/9 and 5/6 with the UK books.
