Paul aka Skinto/TNM HR KO COMP 2023 - Quarter Finals

64 players drawn in 32 matches, winner progresses to next round.
The Draw is tennis style, ie. your path to the final will be fixed.

Each round will take place on a Saturday.
I will choose 5 of the highest profile races for each Saturday, and selections must be made from those 5, one per player from each.
I will try to spread the races across Turf, Jumps, AW, but it just depends what's available.
Races will be confirmed shortly after Thursday's final declarations and entries open at that point.

Within each match, duplicates not allowed, first come first served.

If you do inadvertently duplicate, then of-course you can change up to cut-off time, otherwise no runner no points.
The cut-off time for posting all selections will be the time of the first chosen race, I will make the specific time clear on the Thursday.

Points will be awarded as follows:
Winner of a race gets 5pts, runner-up gets 3pts, 3rd 2pts and 4th 1pt.
A bonus point will be awarded to any top four finish if the SP is 3/1 or over, 2pts if 5/1 or over.

Points scored will be totted up for all five races and highest scoring winner goes through to next round.
In the event of a tie, the player with the best priced winner goes through, or if no winners, then runner-up and so on.
If both players fail to score then whoever has best priced 5th or 6th etc. will go through.

Once you have posted a selection you may not change it unless it is a non-runner.
Non-runners - you may replace up to the cut-off time. You may not leave reserves as it may impact on what your opponent can choose.
If you end up with a non-runner then no points for that race.

The five races from which you must select this Saturday are:

3.00 Newmarket
3.33 Longchamp
4.30 Market Rasen
5.25 Newmarket

Cut-off time for entries - 2.39pm Saturday

The Longchamp SP will be the Industry SP, as per Sporting Life/ATR, not RP which show PM prices.

Thanks Jimnast, definitely another reason for higher hotel prices although not OTT where we are in the La Defense area. I often stay here, it's close to Porte Maillot where the free Navette shuttle bus stop is and only 11 mins on the RER to the Arch De Triomphe monument. Looking forward to the day with friends, but no lumpy bets.

Thank you, Silk Sea Road did me a favour here/Longchamp and 13 points was a lot to pull back from that point. On the bright side, Luton did really well winning at Everton (WD) it actually cost one of our group a good few quid in a football multiple (all others correct and needed the home team.
