Pretty tedious stuff all this , rather like the programs supplied by the channel.
If the mother proves correct and there's nothing to see then there's no need to know the identity is there ? , it's irrelevant surely as the guy is innocent and deserves his name protecting. Then they just need to investigate why there was seemingly no immediate action taken to deal with the serious complaint , whether true or not is again irrelevant. Thank god there's some half decent sport on at the moment ![]() |

^ If the mother is correct then it is the complete opposite.
If it is so tedious and there is half decent sport on why even comment? |

Since the two were old enough to have had a sexual relationship, seems utterly bizarre this presenter should be getting into hot water over buying snaps of the youth's odds and s*ds. At 17, I think the guy was perfectly old enough to make his own decision as to whether or not he wanted to flog photos of his naked self to an older man. He seems to have needed the money to feed a drug habit, and the presenter needed to feed his desire for seeing young men naked.
What bothers me more is that said presenter had £30,000 to spaff away on nudey pics in the first place. Working for the Beeb, that means he's been paid through the licence fee, which is one more reason why I'm glad I don't have a tv licence... . ![]() |

This could drag on forever.
The police have asked the BBC to suspend its investigation so the police can check if anything illegal happened. Shades of Partygate and the Sue Gray report. |

bluebook if men aged 60 or 70 are paying 17/18 years old for photos most/many people don't want to look at such a person in their living room. Legal or not.

Hallo. We're back in play. A second young person has received abuse from the BBC star, although is there a hint of implied blackmail?
"When the young person hinted online they might name the presenter, they were sent abusive, expletive-filled messages." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-66165766 |

Tim Davie: "the allegations WERE taken seriously" 1 unanswered email and 1 phone call(that could've been hung up on after 1 ring) in months proves their determination in keeping their employees in check..

By:
they suspended him , had not at any stage in the last 7 weeks Contacted Him
![]() What company would not ask their Employee ,WTF is going on why are we receiving these complaints ? Just beyond Belief even more so with their filthy history stand by for many more none payers of the Tax .. Those who want to fund them Can , Probably be a bag a year , Good luck with that .. |

If I need to contact some one Urgently I call them , if they do not answer I send a thing called called a Text with my details asking for a call back

When did employers become responsible for "keeping their employees in check"?
|
|
By:
To be quite honest Wise it really doesn't matter who it is ,Its the actions or Lack of ,of the BBC that are now under scrutiny
They have nye on said its all Bullsh1t the Sun are printing |

What would the text say "could you call us back about your drug addled offspring and his relationship with a media personality?"

When they are receiving messages DAVE , that one of their Employees might be a Wrong Un , What company would not at least ask the Employee why they are receiving such messages , do you know one DAVE ?

There is only one issue of criminality - whether there were 17yo pictures - the rest is a commercial decision for the bbc. They obviously know that due to the publicity the man can't appear on their screens again, so they have to find a way to get shot of him without a huge payout.
|
|
By:
davey would've obviously fit in well at the BBC. Maybe if Timmy gets the boot, davey can slot into his position. Q the next scandal..

is that english?

By:
No it would not Dave , It would say regarding your Recent contact can you ring us Back urgently as we need more Information , Dave
If the only contact they made was one Email and One unanswered phone call do you think that is ok DAVE ? If it wasn't your beloved shytehouse Broadcaster ,would you feel the same Dave ? You wanna start getting a few quid together, further Service may not be cheap .. |

So the said Chap , will be let go without a Pay Out ?

There is only one issue of criminality
according to the BEEB Dave ,we have another Case where threats are Being made ,who knows where that could lead ? |
|
By:
BBC News has been able to verify that the messages were sent from a phone number belonging to the presenter.
Looks like the old works Phone maybe involved .. |
|
By:
Whether what went on was legal or illegal will be a small crumb of comfort to the presenter, unless absolutely nothing went on whatsover and the whole thing is a complete fabrication then he's finished anyway.
It's 1.01 that something went on between the two and it's also 1.01 that to the average joe it would be classed as inappropriate at the very least making it impossible for the presenter to emerge from this intact, add on the likelihood that he's married and the bad feeling toward him from colleagues who have had an uncomfortable time through the last few days and it all adds up to him being finished. |
|
By:
You or I don't have the slightest clue what info the woman provided, what contacts she left. The only possible illegality is the 17yo thing (which the bbc claim not to have known about), everything else is just disgusting perviness.
There might be a "disrepute" clause in the contract, but if he was only using legal sex services unconnected with his employment, the bbc is in a spot to get rid of him without a payout. The threats thing is obviously a recent development. |
|
By:
The point is enough was alleged for them to follow up in a thorough manner. They obviously fell way short of any sufficient mark. That's why they're UNDER FIRE. Not for any deviant employee.
|
|
By:
You or I don't have the slightest clue what info the woman provided, what contacts she left
|
|
By:
Obviously enough for them to feebly attempt to contact. Timmy admits as much when he concedes the "amount of times" it actually happened to how many times it should've happened, was "debatable"

question on The Chase

Furious BBC staff have accused bosses of protecting the high-profile presenter at the centre of an alleged sex scandal.
*They claimed the man in question is friendly with management and suggested that executives had failed to take the matter seriously. *“We are all so sick and tired that these people are protecting their friend at the expense of the integrity of the BBC,” said one staff member. *“We are really, really worried about this mess. Obviously everyone knows who the presenter is and, as ever, the bosses are keeping us all in the dark about the plans. *“We’ve had young runners, apprentices and vulnerable guests around this man and now we don’t know who has been exposed to what. The presenter in question is very in with the management… it’s all just awful that they put us and our colleagues at risk to save themselves and their friend.” *Staff were further angered when bosses came into the office over the weekend after the story broke. * One said: “They were audibly moaning about missing out on time with their kids and watching the cricket. They sat in a conference room getting lunch and ice creams delivered.” ![]() |

The name seems sure to remain "unconfirmed" until it's legally allowed to be stated. Mr Vine has called on the accused to step forward..
![]() |
|
By:
I'm behind on the bloke paying a 17yr old for pictures. The presenter has not been named. However, a BBC presenter has been reported by his colleagues to be spending more time with his family.
|
|
By:
The name can "legally" be stated now. There is no injunction. Trouble is, if you name the wrong person, they might sue you and Betfair (which is why the mods will delete the thread). Ironically, one of those doing the suing is Jeremy Vine after he was wrongly accused on Twitter.
But yes, if it is only a question of time before the BBC chap is named then he might as well come forward, except now the police are involved which complicates things. |
|
By:
I happened to be watching TV early this morning and one of the presenters said "so and so" would taking time off to spend more time with his family. Buy coincidence there was barely any coverage of the suspended presenter except the legal ping-pong between the girl's expensive and posh lawyer and The SUN.

why does anyone at the beeb get paid so much money that they can afford to pay 35k for nuddy pics ?
about time the public set the salaries. newsreader - max £45k weatherperson £28k match of the day presenter £37k one show £29k alex jones £449,000 for her presenting role on The One Show. jenas a quarter of a million. just ridiculous money. presenting a show, reading an autocue. it's not open heart surgery .... |
