Apart from The band Frankie goes to Hollywood on a short flight from Liverpool to London in about 1985. It was Ken Dodd at Aintree when I told him I was at the courts during his trial. He said " Thank you judge, I didn't recognize you without your wig". I was on jury duty but not his case..

Its a dead heat for me between Sir Roger Moore and Sir Paul McCartney, I dined at the next table to each of them
Sir Roger at the Queens in Cheltenham and Sir Paul at the Sharrow Bay in the lakes, said hello to both of them as we sat down and they were both gentleman replying, not like some of the z listers who don't speak to anyone and just bark orders in a disgusting manner to the staff. |

Exactly my point saddo,a reflective memory is rico standing in the Dock laughing as the judge sentenced him to 6 months saying "I will do that standing on my head"!!
The judge (Doddy's btw) replied "In that case you can have a further 6 months to help you get back on your feet"!! |

As a paperboy, delivered to Dorothy Squires house, and met her ex hubby/boyfriend again Roger Moore many times. Before Bond but after The Saint.
He liked the paper to be delivered before 6am, otherwise got met at the door with a raised eyebrow. A few years later, actually went on a "date" with Kate Bush. Didn't last long when she found out I was in the school year below her(different local schools). So about 14/15, a few years before her first hit. |

Probably Sir Clement Freud, he used to frequent the Corals in Poland Street that I used as well and I'd chat with him about the days racing every now and then. He was a very likeable man I thought.

I did not talk to her but I was one of a few children who Gave a bouquet to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at Vickers Armstrongs Ltd 21/10/1960 for the launch of "Dreadnought" Still have my ticket with the seat no on. No 49.
Had breakfast in Mount Maunganui on a couple of mornings this February on the next table to Michael Atherton, chatted about local Lancashire cricket and he gave our club a mention in commentary. No airs or graces about him, lovely chap. |
