Just had by account suspended overnight.
They have now applied a loss limit of 750 per month.
I objected - In full time employment, monthly pension and substantial savings.
Its the end for me as its the last betting account I have after matched betting.

How much do you generally lose (if I may ask) that £750/month is not enough?
I lay odds on favs - some months i will lose more than the limit applied and other months will be in profit

That's what it was until the white paper came out on Thursday - make too many deposits, and you're punished with a deposit limit.
But the OP has been punished with a loss limit, which suggests that they're now following the white paper guidelines: lose £1,000 in a day or £2,000 in three months, and you'll be slapped with a loss limit of apparently £750/month. So you can't get around it by building up deposits.

As it looks as though you've falling 'victim' to this single view policy where if they identify you as being "vulnerable", then you will be stopped from betting with any bookmaker signed up to this, what is the process now, what have they said to you with regards to getting access to your accounts back?

If you are added to Gamprotect by this operator, or any other 'participating operator' you would have to appeal the process to them
YOU are not in control of this process. They decide whether you can gamble.
This is an unprecedented and dangerous interference into your rights

Perhaps, Rico, but I think I prefer the world where the 98.6 % reserve the right to do their absolute bollox if they so choose, rather than the one where the state decides what you can and can't spend your money on.

if you've got a licence to provide bookmaking services you should have to do this, not good enough to say no more bets 'cos you took 9/4 when it was 3.2 on betfair. that's their problem.
if you suspect money laundering etc that's fair enough but this is far too much in the favour of the bookie. if you don't fancy laying bets "just b'cos" then fck off and open up a turkish barbers.

our trading department have reviewed your account and we've decided to close your account / limit you to buttons. as explained in our t&c's this is a traders decision and will not be overturned.
hang on. send me a copy of the traders decision, which i can then forward to the gambling commission who can then decide if the decision is "fair and equitable". for the avoidance of doubt "we suspect he's not a grade A mug and he never plays the virtuals" probably isn't good enough.

PP BF and Skybet are all owned by Flutter - there is no way they are not going to apply blanket affordability across their brands.
You may be right, dave1357. It would interesting to know if this is what has happened to others when it's come to affordability checks.
ultimately the entire affordability set-up will be regulated industry wide imo, obv leading to non-regulated outlets flourishing.

Maybe his account will be back open after a month or so with the £750 loss limit applied but the OP didn't say that.
It would help if you could get some details from atn1963, was he losing heavily this month, had he made many deposits this month and previously, is his lifetime acc in profit, did he have a phone chat with someone from bf. Understandably probably wouldn't want to answer the above but unfortunately all the White Paper and everything associated with the White Paper does is leave more questions than answers and leaves most of us guessing and confused.
