You would’ve thought after spending the last 6 months or so grinding it on dirt with those hoodlums stateside that he’d be ready for something like today.

Winning on the horse last year is not the point. He has only been in the country a few days from the US etc. so can't possibly have had time to get to know the horse at home so why not use the top class jockeys (Murphy, Probert etc.) who ride them out every day?

Frankie and I had some great moments of pleasure, and He's a great bloke.

Frankie would lie and tell me he'd ridden Shergar that day, and Walter had fooled me, but I know, even after my illness, Greville rode my horse to the sound of Peter Bromley calling history!

The only problem with Frankie was that McCrirrick, the oldfart. He did not understand the lad at any early age. I did. I taught him and sent him in the right direction.
