You would’ve thought after spending the last 6 months or so grinding it on dirt with those hoodlums stateside that he’d be ready for something like today.

old men fall off easier. His presence can only reduce the horses chance in the Guineas as will the experience of galloping loose yesterday. Not sure who decided to give him the ride on such an important horse but it was clearly the wrong one.

Sageform talking a great deal of sense there.I like Balding stable and love the Juddmonte horses..Dettori seems an odd fit for either of them to my mind..he just seemed to fall into the ride at the right time last year ..

Winning on the horse last year is not the point. He has only been in the country a few days from the US etc. so can't possibly have had time to get to know the horse at home so why not use the top class jockeys (Murphy, Probert etc.) who ride them out every day?

Frankie would lie and tell me he'd ridden Shergar that day, and Walter had fooled me, but I know, even after my illness, Greville rode my horse to the sound of Peter Bromley calling history!

The only problem with Frankie was that McCrirrick, the oldfart. He did not understand the lad at any early age. I did. I taught him and sent him in the right direction.

What happened yesterday was unfortunate, could've happened
to any jockey on it.

No, on the contrary, Greville Starkey, would have prevailed, unlike some Italian upstart.
