Was he bill turners son in law?...I dont think so Rowley...Was doing very well as an apprentice for Clive Cox as an Apprentice i thought he was going to be very good then Cox dropped him like a stone....Then started to ride a few winners for Prescott then disappeared. |

M.Kettle was a very lucky apprentice for me many moons ago. Same here in about 72/73, remember him winning the 1st race of the flat season at Doncaster in the 1st leg of the Crown plus 2 apprentice championship on 33/1 outsider Tudor Jewel, i thought he was going to be the next big thing but eventually went to race abroard, came back and had a few rides here about 10 years ago. |
