The irony of this is that I actually watched the whole interview hoping to learn something which might help to give me a 'deeper' understanding of racing, with a view to making better bets going forward.
Which probably just goes to show what a naive tw*t I am. Yes, it did give me a deeper understanding, but not necessarily the one I was hoping for. It confirmed my suspicions re' Sir Mark Prescott and Mick Easterby. I'd always assumed the BT with Skid-Mark meant b*llsh*it, but my mate pointed out it meant 'baronet'. Frankly, I'm still baffled you can be both a sir and a baronet, thinking that it's like combining matter with anti-matter. |

One thing Pulrennan cannot afford to do is hold this horse up. If he were to get blocked or the horse ran below par then he will be accused of pulling it twice. In my opinion he will lead and win or not he can say it was a fully trying effort of his.
Personally I think if the horse leads it will get beaten by the weight and just fail. To me the whole incident is not about the horse. A derby winner couldnt have won with the ride Mulrennan gave it last week. Shameful. |

Interesting scenario in general today at Newcastle. A lot of bad 'press' regarding this jockey and the track in general on this and other racing mb's. It wouldn't be the biggest shock if miraculously all or majority of shorties/favs won there today. I'll check in this evening to see.

LOL liberator,interestingly though,so far only 1 out of 11 in the AW competition has selected Kraken Power and these guys know the time of day.Whether it is mistrust of the jockey or the horse it is significant,may even be both.

Unless KP is on the bridle,regardless of held up or prominent it will likely lose if it becomes a test of endurance between him and Mehmo,Nellie French is as good as KP,probably better and similarly needs luck in the run but 5/4 V 16s is no contest ew imo,KP best left to desperados whether win or lay!!

one thing the dodge ride has shown us all is that the racing media and broadcast will round the wagons and look after themselves and their jobs rather than tell it as it is.
seb sanders looked at that ride yesterday, you could tell exactly what he thought of it, but because he wants to keep the sky gig all he could say was having watched that he was surprised it wasn't under 2/1 to win the race. he knew exactly what mulrennan did. |

Went out in running yesterday pretty big I'm having a snifty port probably like Stewards if you get my drift I'm happy track as I said earlier runs like a flapper been lucky if tonight wasn't the night never was going to be one.
