On 22 December 2014 a bin lorry collided with pedestrians in the city centre of Glasgow, Scotland, killing six and injuring fifteen others. The driver of the council-owned vehicle, Harry Clarke, said he had passed out at the wheel. A similar blackout had happened to him in the driving seat of a bus. He had not disclosed that incident on his heavy goods vehicle licence renewal application, despite such self-reporting being mandatory. Clarke was officially told he would not face further prosecution, effectively giving him immunity over the deaths and causing protests from victims' families at the way the case had been handled.
HappyHibby 30 Nov 22 17:58 btw Mr.Hunt... what's your latest view on the Madeline Mccann scenario ? there isnt any latest view..my opinion hasnt changed since july 2007..the Mccanns were complicit in the disposing of Madeleines body for one of two reasons. They have received unwavering protection from the british establishment for reasons unknown.Possibly one of the biggest scandals perpetrated by the Britsh Authoritys. |

Based on your own personal cam evidence ... and your two reasons? I don't grant your theory a !% chance! Stick to to photo finishes perhaps |

|
By:

|
By:

|
By:

I watched it last night after all the furore on here. The lad was very unlucky to be sent down. Unfortunately common sense doesn’t prevail where the law is concerned. I certainly wouldn’t have been convicting him if I was on the jury.
One thing that stands out though is his interview. It should be mandatory imo that nobody should be interviewed without a lawyer present. His openness and honesty may have done him no favours. The ‘victims’ knew exactly what so say. Feck all. |

so iyo he wasnt guilty of causing injury by dangerous driving? |
|
By:
Yes he probably was. I still wouldn’t have convicted him though.

100% Kenbo, seemed too honest/ naive for his own good, although he still would have had to admit he hit the Motorcycle ( with all the forensic evidence ). Will be interesting to see how the 2 Ferals insurance claim pans out. ? |

------------------------------------------------------- correct kenbo... defence lawyers who know their 'clients' are complete runtbags defending the indefencible... meanwhile a hard-working guy gets sent down for 2 years... can't stand them personally. |

indeed..what a precedent it will set if they manage a payout..riding a stolen motorcycle without insurance etc yet still trying for a payout..similarly theres a woman in daily mail today suing the council for injuries obtained by hitting a pothole whist riding an e-scooter illegally..again,what a precedent that will send. |

The couple had an abortion because he was looking at a prison stretch, while one of the human tragedies has a sprog on the way to follow in the family tradition of a life on benefits and crime. Heartwarming stuff
Perhaps the most surreal part was one of the locals, an incredibly polite chap, chatting away to a WPC near where the crash occurred. "Do you get much trouble round here?" "Oh yeah" (he goes on to reel off a long list of his own experience of break-ins, theft etc). Maybe she'd not have to ask that question if they still bothered to investigate any of that stuff |

this is the problem these days..you must maximise every option to protect what you have..most dont.

Yeah I watched it hibb…support for the couple until the end….partner was in tears
Doesn’t matter if you are in a tin can caravan with a one bar heater…it’s not on….unless there was medical issues….which wasn’t mentioned Did you see the online fund ? A person put up £15,000 ffs… |

Couple did an online video twitter thanking the supporters

no i didn't see that aceform...
George Michael gave away cash to 'deserving causes' before he died... think he saw someone on 'This Morning' and gave them 35k... drop in the ocean for him i suppose but he didn't have to do it... probably felt guilty for having so much and there's someone desperate for a few grand. |

I had a scenario years back involved with a witch
Binned and shown the door Her new partner came to my house months later bawling and squawking,,made a move..bang Glasgow kiss on the eyeball…plod involved… Gave me a stern warning if it had been two kisses I would have been in the can…scum walked only with a shiner Months later..mobile goes off early Sunday…jumped out of bed put a light on..phone went…I see ur in big guy Went downstairs boiled the kettle with help from the street light Opened the patio doors and called his mobile to invite them (three I think) Bring a good dose of calamine lotion I heard the ex witch tell them to go….‘he’ll go for you’. We have to stand up to this form of pork…imo. |
