My bank sat there is no problem there end and betfair now talking about possible limits but will get back to me and this has been going on all afternoon. According to the my betfair account page my limit is .......Deposit Limit: A helping hand to do the counting - Active

All this nonsense over a £500 deposit after 20 years as a customer.

i assume they want proof of income to reset your deposit level, they might have emailed or tel a while back, but wouldn't surprise me if they are now just doing it on a deposit trigger

If I get restricted below a certain level then I will give up. I have bet on here for over 20 years so am not putting up with this nonsense. Let me tell you whether you believe it or not that I have had far bigger deposits in the past on here.

Actually incredibly easy, asked what limit they wanted said something high but not ridic, 10k other something. Came back ok, all in all took 1h. |

Same here but they put me on £100/month but if you have wages/pension you should get more. Can't tolerate that after so many years in the game. Will have to find another way of doing things or maybe not even bother. Trouble is when you reach a certain age you have to do something to occupy the time. |

You could’ve deposited £1300 and withdrew £5k but it would still say you have £8700 available for the month. Its not really that relevant to your p&l.

Well I don't pretend to understand what this £10000 limit a month is all about and only discovered it today when I was looking for some sort of limit having never been notified of one.

They dont care what you might like doing, they will tell you what you can and cant do. And dont anyone give me the line this is bf acting on getting rid of unprofitable customers. On a practical level everyone now has to build up a buffer, put the money on some obscure antepost event like I do, it keeps the money safe so you dont blow the bank when laying something too large when the odds change
But stops the need to deposit. |

I was restricted by another exchange. This was for betting on too many horses per month imo. I like to have 2 or 3 horses running for me in a race.
