Agreed - certain - can Frankie keep him out of trouble in a 4 horse race? ;)
Was there any need for Will Buick to sit 4 lengths behind him all through the race?
Making that ground up probably got the horse beat.

Swap the jockeys and the other one wins. Buick good at waving the whip.
agreed Hulk - just cheeky - I love how the TV pundits tried to put us off - it's amazing how often they try to put you off a winning shorty
dettori was toying with the runner-up. could've won half the track if he wanted ...
He's not as good as he was but that was his class coming to the fore there. Love to see it!
He probably is getting too old.
Not the horse he was by any means, but Frankie used all his experience and class to get him up
and I doubt there are that many jockeys around who would have won on him today.

Anyone explain what the point is in Buick switching the whip when he never used it even once?
let him retire on a winning note
jockeyship won that race
let the strad go to stud
he's desperate for a shag

As for all this old business ,Bar spanish who is no spring chicken they were all old
Didn't have a penny on but a race like that, you don't need to. Classic!

He looks desperate in parade ring half the time
.
Retire him? Why? There's many a good tune played on an old fiddle.
I agree showed he's still got the fight so must be still enjoying it.
It's alright for 7yo geldings to run but 7yo entires?

Not Buicks finest ride
Stradivarius was much the best for me why retire horse looks like he still enjoys his racing well done to the owner for keeping him in training.
stradivarius has a bit of the giants causeway imo when it comes to a nose to nose thing strad will always win
He's 6/4 for the Doncaster Cup next friday. The present ground is good to firm (weather forecast is dry) rendering Trueshan a very unlikely runner, I believe. He's not improving, but against these opposition? Game over, I think, unless Princess Zoe could gain her 1st win since Oct 2020.
Princess Zoe won't even be running at Doncaster
Best price is 11/10 (from 6/4) now with one or two on 8/11 and 4/5; Princess Zoe earmarked for Cadran a race she won last year.
Different league to that lot. But travelled sweeter than ever.
If they had tried him over the sticks, would he have won the champion hurdle?
Stayers possibly....but I'm sure he could be sure of a champion hurdle one day
Class? He just managed to beat/outstay Spanish Mission last time out. I believe today's oppositions were pants, and possibly worse ever of the race.
He was behind Search For A Song (2nd) when odds-on and 7th at Ascot; the ground was soft that day, and Frankie nearly pulled him up. But, good ground today; 6/4 is too tempting. I just hope he's fit.
His last G1 win was nearly two years ago.
They're lowering their sights these days.

12th at Ascot? Write that race off. If fit enough and has deteriorated any further should hose up here.
owners just told itv racing its not fit. search for a song hacks up here.
The opposition is one of the worst against him. If he's sufficiently fit to do himself justice he's weighted to reverse placing with Tashkan. The ground's the key here.
Well done Strad! I think connections ought to retire him now with a win. He was coming back to the 2nd.

What can you say about the Boss dog, the best stayer I've ever seen!
Could easily of gone round again...just hands and heels in the finish.
Surely they shouldn't overdo the waiting tactics in the RA gold cup this year. He seems to enjoy getting involved in the battle earlier these days.
An amazing horse. Still not sure what his best distance and ground is...
Over 3/1 In Running!
any other horse getting shoved along like that it's over 30 ....

It's 50/50 ground will be amenable. The ground were firm/soft/soft/firm last 4 years at Royal Ascot; 2022? 4.7 Trueshan against 5.7 Stradivarius next month. Take your pick.
You're been had by your own usual trick Rico, that hulk post was from last year!
He said Search for a Song hacks up this year!

Warm front coming in 123. Odds on he misses the race IMO.

The best Meteorologist on the forum!
Strad looks grand.
Strad looks grand.
Stradivarius is getting long in the tooth. The fav Kyprios (13/8) has never done the distance, plus beaten donkeys previously.
not the best::? Strad is a stone better than the winner
Fav being niggled and Frankie stuck in a pocket motionless and he still waits for a gap instead of going right round the outside , what a pill0ck

With what JG just said, it makes the ride looks even more miserable.
