That`s what happens when you hire Mr Magoo as photo finish judge.

We are nearly at quantumn computers, WTF is this are we back to the stone age?

By:
they might be indicating that the mirror is slightly misaligned.

Chappers has called it , the result needs to be revised

They can say wtf they want, we all know who won.
All he excuses will be just that. Blatantly trying to cover their @rses, it is corrupt |

Chamberlin the Biggest Gravy Coooont in the history of racing ,should be thrown off TV

blaming the tools

By:
"faulty equipment"
aye right |
By:
that would be very convenient but actually it still doesn't remove the issue that the bha are a mess and at fault

Makes you feel like giving up, the appeal that follows does nothing for todays punters

total shambles

Believe that and you will believe anything.

and that mirror image should be tested for racing as per their own brief

By:
Digging a bigger hole fecking morons.
By:
What I don't get is why don't they incorporate the slow mo on the line into the decision. There was another result at Cheltenham that was clear from the tv footage that they didn't call because their own photo wasn't clear enough.
By:
funny coincidence the mirror being out the very race they call the wrong horse as the outright winner WALOFS

Keep digging stewards, you couldn't make this up!
By:
haha the clerk of the course is now laying the blame at racetech - those boys have no shame
By:
Harry Worth has tested the mirror and confirms it faulty.
By:
about time someone asked Racetech what their staff get up to on racecourses on a daily basis...
in fact it should've happened a long long time ago imv. |
By:
Chief steward seen combing his wig and mustache at winning post this morning. No need for Columbo this case!!
By:
The photo finish still for 3rd and 4th place shows that the mirror image does not correspond to the front on image. The mirror image suggests the 4th place horse is actually further behind the 3rd. This means that the winner Hurricane Ivor actually won by even more than the inch suggested by the original mirror image. But this would be far too difficult for stewards to calculate.
By:
They would be in bigger trouble if Count Dracula had been on one of the two horses involved.
By:
if this isn't confirmed as corrected we could have a few more dhs today
By:
It still doesn't explain how they came to award the race initially to Phoenix Star, who on no evidence, faulty or otherwise looked the winner.
The erroneous mirror image clearly showed the other one as the winner, that was the one they should have called initially. |

a very good and reasonable idea CC , and for that reason it will not be considered |
By:
Has photo betting been voided? All my bets on Hurricane Ivor are gone.
By:
That's it duffy. Many photos take 5 minutes before giving a result or a dead heat yet here the judge cannot see the winner that he/she called in front on any image. So a mistake was made by the judge whatever the state of the tech equipment.
