Right, looker-iners first, a few e/w
Lads this might be worth an e/w Windsor 3.40 second collection 12/1 powers E/W Lifetime form on turf........23284151365 Lifetime form at Windsor....23411 Sire DELEGATOR is 566/72 win and 566/177 places.....A/E 1.12 DELEGATOR 4yr old plus offspring are 291/40 win and 291/106 places 15:00, Huntingdon Chess Player Dec Odds: 12.5 (BetFair Exchange) Mon 12th Apr 2021 Chess Player will love the ground. Looked at Second Collection but worst of the draw puts me of, at least there are 3 nrs which contracts it a bit, 9/9 rather than 12/12, gl.

Tomorrows divi begins at £€8.01 I think all the losers on this thread have been bad choices from myself however I think SECOND COLLECTION was the first blatant non trier we have picked so far, three little taps, horse needs to be covered up which JOSIE forgot to do maybe I am looking at the race thru my pocket anyway it will be dropped a LB or two for future races. ![]() |

luckyme - re Second Collection, only watched the race once - but to my eye she was really keen early (pulled more than George Clooney!).

If Amal is looking in (which seems highly likely!) - obviously I was referring back to his days as a single man.
Seriously though - only watched the race once (in real time) and SC wasn't my primary focus - but looked to run it's race in the first two furlongs. |

Firstly, the looker-iners again like yesterday e/w
Kennack Bay 16.55 Southwell (9/1) Ben Pauling has taken his time with Kennack Bay and while acknowledging he might still be a little inexperienced, expects a better showing now he's handicapping. This doesn't look an over-taxing initial mark and he should at least go close today. Trainer Kennack Bay is a nice horse who shows ability and will probably do better now handicapping. He is still quite green and a shade backward experience-wise but I would not be surprised if he figures today as he starts on a workable mark. Detatched 17:25, Southwell DEC Odds: 17 (Betfair Exc) Can ignore the last run as got badly impeded by a faller, so actually still did well to finish only 13 lengths off the winner. Ben Godfrey returns to the saddle to take off a handy 5lbs and run prior to last time was a close second at Warwick. A repeat of that and with a bit more luck in-running would give him an e/w chance. |

I have received two pm's suggesting this way of bettting is boring and a waste of time while I do agree with them about boring I can't agree about the waste of time. I would just like to state for the record I have been punting away while running this thread. The reason behind this thread is I got talking to a mate of mine about interest rates and laughed suggesting you would be better off playing the markets on here than leaving a few hundred in the bank. He gave me this hundred on the general view that he would watch it and see how it goes, he is not too pushed if there is nothing left after its finished but I told him I would run it until 31st August. I am sure we would be happy with €200 on 1st September but there's a long way to go until then |

Boring = probably doing something right.
Great work so far, Lucky! You seem to have a rock solid selection process and are finding nice prices. A winning combination. |

I agree with Latalomne - your thread is one of only a few interesting reads on here luckyme - keep it going!
People that want to get rich quick (and need the buzz of betting on everything that moves) are all headed for the poorhouse - and they have about 48 Gaze threads (and a fair few other posters) to choose from if that is their preference. I do think 5% is a bit mad - as you asked the question yourself (liquidity aside - in the place markets) - would you be betting £500 if you got to £10k? - but for a £100 pot with a view to doubling it in a short time - it seems like a good balance between realism and good fun. Keep it going. GL. |

I don't often give reasons but here is roughly what I base the selections on, may not be 100% accurate but near enough. 2.45 OH THIS IS US 4 places The last three races OH THIS IS US ran in, at this course were group and listed class so the drop down to today’s handicap will help in his quest for his second win at this course. The horse actually has a 51% place record on turf and 53% place record in this class so 14/1 the first four seems fair. He has raced at Newmarket 6 times and placed twice however three of the races were group/listed class so he has only raced three times in handicaps at Newmarket and has been placed two times. He has raced at todays distance 31 times winning seven and placing 12 (39%). His Sire has a 27% place strike rate in middle distance handicaps at this course. Oh this is us adds £€10.14 to the bank
Bank now £€170.43 Next divi is £€8.52 looking at TINTO in the 4 places, ok only ran once over 7f but alot of first time out and could be a day he sneaks a place over 7, has got shocking ride on the allweather last 3 or 4 times plus Jim back on heres what I was looking at last night 3.55 Tinto 4 places Tinto last few runs were in races which were run at a crawl and turned in to sprint finishes, not to sure about todays 7f however the old saying “never back a horse to do something he has never done before” springs to mind. He is 16/1 and the only time he has raced over 7f didn’t disgrace himself. Tinto’s turf form is 29/5 wins and 29/13 places, he has raced. He has raced five times at Newmarket resulting in form figures of 13656, the last 5th and 6th were in fields of 14 and 28 runners. The sire has a 27% place strike rate at Newmarket again 16/1 five places is fair. |

Lads I have chickened out and gone for five places @ 2.62
My view on this is he is drawn low, should get a bit of cover and a lot of these horses will be there a furlong out but without a recent run how many will be there right at the line fighting out the places. Also like to add I could stay here all summer backing 1.5 and 1.8 shots however when one or two lose you are back to square one. I would back at these prices and try build up a bankwell thats the plan. Newmarket 3.55 Back (Bet For) 5 places Odds Stake Profit Tinto 2.62 €8.52 €13.80 Ref: 229998719440 Matched: 15:11 13-Apr-21 |

Were we separated at birth Luckyme ?
![]() Thats my speculative Nap in the naps comp.... ![]() Backed it last night at PP E/W first 4 @ 15/1 (price boost)... Had same thoughts about the draw but as it's a hold up job was hoping JC would move over to the rails... Only run once over 7 but looks as though it needs it now especially at Newmarket based on it's last couple of runs there... Fingers crossed.... ![]() |
