Odds Stake Profit Protektorat 3.2 €6.15 €13.53 Ref: 229439420969 Matched: 11:29 08-Apr-21 and for the looker-iners 4.40 Jan Maat 1pt e/w 22/1 hills 6 places I also want to have a dart at one that doesn’t make the trends shortlist... JAN MAAT (H De Bromhead) this 8yo looks to have conditions to shoot for here...yielding or quicker ground | G3 level & below | Rachael Blackmore riding | NOT Very Undulating tracks = 612212621 (3/9, 4p)...and Henry De Bromhead has an excellent record at this meeting with his 6yo-8yo’s that race over 2m...11275315413 (4/11, 3p). There are also two pieces of ‘recent’ form from the horse that interest me; the first being his fall at Leopardstown over Xmas where he jumped the last for a share in the lead only to crash out on the landing side. He looked sure to be involved in the finish there and that race was run a good few pounds above par for the level, the race has also worked out well enough on future form with the winner winning again since and the 5th winning a valuable G2 handicap next time out. The second piece of form is his 10th in the 2020 Grand Annual at Cheltenham, a race where he turned the corner for home full of running and jumped into the lead over the second last, only to stumble badly on landing and lose his momentum. He faded up the hill, probably a combination of that mistake and the hill itself, but the run was much better than the finishing position suggests. He’ll appreciate this flatter track here and he looks interesting at bigger prices. From Narrowing the field (Ben) TQ VIEW 'Best Bet': 6.20 Chelmsford: BYZANTIA - Looks a nice recruit for the Charlie Fellowes yard after coming from the John Gosden team. Won well at Southwell the last day and Charlie reports the horse as settled in well and looking forward to getting going with her. Trainer Won on her final start for John Gosden and has moved to mine looking fantastic. Small question mark over the step up in trip but Golden Horn seems to be a strong stamina influence. Her work has also been good. TQ VIEW 'Each-Way': 4.40 Aintree: EDITEUR DU GITE (e/w) - A good winner for the Gary Moore yard at Newbury last time out . Up 7lbs for that but in this better race only has 10st 9lbs of racing weight here. Will love the ground and could have more to come. Likes to get on with things from the front too, so might just be hard to peg back on this flat track. Trainer Delighted with his win at Newbury last time out - up 7lbs for that, but in this better race we get in with a lovely racing weight of just 10st 9lbs. He's come out of that race very well and will love the ground and track. Very competitive contest, but we feel he'll love the Aintree track too and should make a bold bid from the front again - hopefully he'll be hard to pass again and we feel we come here with slightly than just As usual good luck with your picks today. |

For the looker- iners
13:45, Aintree Ben Pauling Whatsupwithyou Dec Odds: 21 (BetFair Exchange) Fri 9th Apr 2021 Whatsupwithyou has run a series of very good races in tough handicap hurdles at the bigger meetings. He again ran his race when fourth in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Hurdle at Cheltenham last month and will have every chance of gaining a well-deserved win today under the capable 5lb claimer Kevin Brogan. Do Your Job Fri 9th Apr 2021 14:20, Aintree DEC Odds: 16.5 (Betfair Exc) Lovely horse that's done well since going hurdling - winning twice. Ran well behind the useful My Drogo at Kelso last time (2nd) in a Grade Two - the form of that race looks decent and after just getting a bit tired in the closing stages the drop back in trip here will help. Will be fine on the flatter track and the ground too. Tough race, being a Grade One - but his form all season is solid and think he is too big a price - should run well. Getaway Jewel 17.30 Sedgefield Brian Hughes is trying to get a few winners in his usual stamping ground aiming to get ahead of Aintree-committed Harry Skelton in their great title battle. He rode Micky Hammond's horse last time and the trainer has dropped him back in trip on the champion rider's advice. A positive pointer if ever there was one! Back with the place bets at 1.30ish |

First of all, get you nosey looker- iners out of the way
1.35 Chepstow: IMPHAL - The Henry Oliver runner - Kilchreest Moon is feared in this race too, but the Gary Moore yard ave their horses in good form at the moment and we just think Imphal can run better than he did here last time. Didn't really settle that day over CD but is down 3lbs and this doesn't look a great race. Trainer: Disappointed a bit last time here - just didn't settle too well and faded up the straight. We feel he's better than that though, while he's dropped 3lbs too. Will need to settle a bit better, but in a similar race would be no shock if he left that last run behind. Josh rides. 1.45 Aintree: STONEY MOUNTAIN (e/w) - Useful horse that has had a few issues recently. Only had the one run for Jamie Snowden but they've taken their time with him. Back over hurdles here on a fair mark and has won at Aintree in the past too (2-from-2 here). Still only 8 years-old and has run well off a lay-off in the past, so might be worth having a small interest in each-way. Trainer: Stoney Mountain was a decent handicap hurdler - he won a Grade 3 at Haydock, and is two from two at Aintree. He didn't jump well when 3rd in a novice chase on his only start this season and came back with a nasty cut that day. Given time to recover and back over hurdles here, we should see him run well in this competitive affair. Happygolucky 16.15 Aintree Kim Bailey had the rough end of things at Aintree yesterday with Espoir De Romay looking sure to win the Mildmay when coming down two fences out. Then much-fancied Two For Gold got squeezed out at the unsatisfactory and much-delayed standing start for the Topham when a prominent early place is always required for him. He was never going after but if Happygolucky can get away on terms in this handicap and runs to the Cheltenham form, he will be hard to keep out of the money. Trainer: Happygolucky ran a blinder at Cheltenham and a repeat of that run would put him in with a huge shout. On form he's a worthy favourite - let's hope he runs like one! Takingrisks 17.15 Aintree Nicky Richards has yet to train a Grand National winner but he was the assistant to his father Gordon W when he sent out Lucius (1978) and Hallo Dandy (1984) for their victories. Dad also won a single Scottish Grand National with Playlord in 1990. Nicky equalled that family achievement with Takingrisks in the latest edition of the Ayr marathon two years ago and today has a chance to join his late father on the Aintree Roll of Honour. Takingrisks is a veteran but didn't look like one when beating Aye Right at Doncaster and with a good run round could be somewhere close at the finish. Trainer: Takingrisks is very well and all that remains is for him to get a bit of luck - but I'm sure if you spoke to every trainer with a runner in the race they would say the same. There are form lines through Aye Right which puts him in the same bracket as the favourite, so he should run a very good race. He certainly has the stamina for it. |

Almazhar Garde 15.36 Kelso Almazhar Garde did well from a long way back when seventh in the Kim Muir at the Festival. A course winner early in the season he is still only a six-year-old and he could enjoy plenty of success over fences in the future starting now. Trainer: Almazhar Garde won here in the autumn and was not disgraced last time at Cheltenham. If he can get in a rhythm near the front he will have a good chance of returning in the winner's enclosure. Trainer: 16:25, Plumpton Warren Greatrex Just A Sip Dec Odds: 5.8 (BetFair Exchange) Sun 11th Apr 2021 The better ground has brought much improved performances lately from Just A Sip. We're hoping she can get her head in front this time. 4.55 Plumpton: COUNTERACT - This Suzy Smith runner was a nice winner at Wincanton at the end of last month and should have more to come. Yes, up 10lbs for that so more on his plate, but won by an easy 8 lengths that day and still gets into this slightly better race with only 10-4 in racing weight. Trainer: Put up a good performance to win comfortably at Wincanton on his first start over fences and on better ground. Up 10lbs for that and this is a stronger race, with two others looking well in. However, we are still well-handicapped ourselves and at the right end of the weights - if handling the tighter track. Has come out of his last race well and likely to put up another good performance today. Bank now £€130.65 First divi today £€6.53 |

Bets of luck , might be small returns at the moment, but at least you're in the black in that period. 30.65% increase on starting back isnt bad place to be in and if you consider your first bet was 5% of £100, you've techincally made six times your first initial stake - so 6pts profit looking at it that way. By the end of April your dividend could be £50 to £100 on one bet,
