"not a foregone conclusion" that you can take the wrong course & not be DQ

This looks like it could be a right feck up.

Captain Hindsights by the score

There was a black and white flag being waved some way after the hurdle.
What does that mean? What has to be in place for a hurdle/fence not to be jumped? |
By:
Rule amendment " Fat Bastard on course with sign Trample him "
By:
The only one to dq was Jack Tudor who ignored the chequered flag which meant do not jump?

Captain Hindsights by the score
i was going to start a fred on it half an hour before the race ... |

there was no chequered flag before the flight, if there was there wouldn't have been the confusion approaching it ..
By:
whatever the outcome it's another shambles
By:
Stewards not gone inplay so BF considering voiding?
By:
If I could, I'd be backing FPP in a stewards market. Maybe 1.5 Id want
By:
must be some rule about groundstaff on the course whilst a race is being run
By:
Making the rules up ....what on earth was the bloke doing out there?
By:
By:
incredible its that short tbh
By:
didnt get a mention but in chase at newcastle the other day someone was looking for mushrooms or having a pish just before horses jumped the fence
By:
Good point on sky
If they jumped the flight they could've run into the bloke and the horse a bit further down? Kin nightmare |

I backed Dharma hope I win.
By:
The chequered flag was NOT in front of the hurdle. There were no boards or screens up. If you follow the rules, you jump the hurdle. Dharma the winner or if the stewarts want to ignore the rules, race voided. Is Donald Trump one of the Stewarts?
By:
backed Dharma 1.8 round last bend ,laid 1.3 100yds from the line, no confidence whatsoever in what the stewards will do.
By:
I disagree. It’s not a shambles.
Crap is gonna happen from time to time, we should accept that. I realise there are rules to be followed but it’s not always possible to react in time, as has happened in this case. SHOULD BE VOID RACE |
By:
As has been said earlier an excellent call by the commentator.
By:
Reverse arc rules .. f only one horse finishes the race this market will be settled as a Dead Heat between all combinations of the winning horse.
By:
void race = shambles, anotehr fck up so i disagree sorry
By:
what does a chequered flag mean and why were they waving it?
By:
They need fitness tests for the arrow pointers. Dont want to be ageist but you
cant be having decrepid 80 year olds who should be shielding from Covid trying running across a racecourse to put stuff on top of a fence. |
By:
No probs

they weren't waving a flag, so it doesn't matter what it means in this situation ...
By:
There are two blokes going from side to side with Signs THEY COULD NOT JUMP IT
Tudor would steal the eye out of his mothers head IMVHO |
By:
Man walking along hurdle with arrow sign.
They are definetly in jockeys eyeline Even though he is behind the hurdle, surely to the jockeys it would appear he is going to place them on that hurdle. Cant blame them myself. The one that jumped it had an extra few seconds for the arrow man to move out the way. |
By:
That horse must of been 150yds away lol.
By:
Has to be deemed as Inteference
By:
it's gone dark now so there's no guessing what they might do
